Rereading the Alex Verus series

And

I know it’s not what they do but I keep imagining the characters being so much closer with each other than they are. Like whenever Alex and Anne talk (in my mind) they are touching just lightly fingers on arm or hands together or leg over leg, just a natural touch of comfort.

When Alex is speaking with Arachne he’s got a hand patting her leg or she’s hovering over him

Veri is always leaning close to Luna, she’s always pointed toward him even when looking at Alex.

Alex and Veri touch shoulders when affirming safety and health. They hold upper arms to support the other when saying they will be there for each other or to take care.

Alex is a lot more flirtatious in the way he speaks with Caldera and she grabs him more like a possessive sort of touch. They’re almost chest to chest when they argue.

Re-read Alex is semi flirty with all powerful women in my mind now… I dunno. Just seems he drifts toward powerful women and leans on tough guys.

I know it’s not written in the story. I KNOW! But I guess it’s just my want for him to have a touch support. Possibly that’s my love language or something in the working but anyways that’s my read-and thought.

Could the start of Alex’s bad luck be caused by Luna? He was successfully out of mage sight for years but after spending 3 months with Luna, just caught in her presence for that long there appeared that two mages from both sides of the spectrum thought of him and went to him for help.

Additionally Luna was close-ish friends with Ann and suddenly Jag decided to let Ann go. Not Vari who didn’t spend as much time with Luna, just Ann.

went brunching with a friend today! im really living out my holidays. in october ill have an astro-internship at the observatory and my one exam that i have to retake. i will start with studying end of September. i really need to pass this time, so that is a bit stressful buut right now ill just focus on,,, well doing nothing. i love not having plans beyond next week.

ill be getting some new glasses (mine are almost 3 years old), bought some new books ( today and some Halloween themed stuff. i love stuff. and i love Halloween. last week the weather was super autumny and cozy, but this week its going up to 30°c again, i liked the rain better tbh.

got any book recommendations? (loving the rivers of london series by ben Aaronovitch and some cliché teenage highschool/academy fantasy stuff)
