People are basically mad because he kind of said women are only for romantic interests which is pretty lame. I'm sure he doesn't mean it in a hurtful way it just kind of emphasized a major problem with spn
yes. but let’s be honest. in most tv shows with both female and male characters, romantic situations ensue. This is just a problem with tv (and books, tbh) in general.
To me it sounded like he misinterpreted the question. I’ve watched a lot of convention videos and that happens quite a bit. Aisha and Jared seemed to be on a completely different wavelength than the asker of the question.
I agree that this is a major problem with spn. There should definitely be many more strong female characters. I’m happy they’re bringing back Jody and adding Rowena, but they need to keep one alive and not written-off for longer periods of time.
In the long run though, Jared and Aisha’s comments weren’t too terrible and are nothing to get overly worked-up about. I’m always really ashamed of my fandom when I hear they’re sending hate to people and this is not something you should be sending hate over. not that anything is
