Most people think they can hide fraud in a sea of spreadsheet rows. They're wrong.
The Problem: Human brains are hardwired to pick "random" numbers that actually follow predictable, non-natural patterns. If you're faking invoices, you're probably leaving a mathematical fingerprint.
The Solution: Benford's Law. It's a statistical phenomenon regarding the frequency distribution of leading digits. In natural datasets, the number '1' appears as the first digit about 30% of the time. If your '7s' and '8s' are spiking, someone is lying.
The Fix: ⚠️ Extract leading digits using the LEFT function. 🛡️ Pivot the frequency of each digit. 🚫 Compare against the Benford distribution.
Math doesn't lie. People do.
