6) What is their favourite feature of their partner’s?

Ben loves Nick’s eyes and the way he smirks before he smiles. Nick similarly loves Ben’s eyes, but he loves his nose as well (asdfkjg) and his hair when he doesnt straighten it to all hell and shove it full of 20 pounds of hair gel.

12) Who initiates kisses?

Nick, before the war. But after he’s more prone to insecurity about whether Ben wants to or not (which he usually almost always does). It takes Ben a while to realise that Nick does want to kiss him but barely knows how to go about it. After that though, Ben’s always kissing him, or giving him reassurance. When Nick’s forced into a gen 3 replica of the old Nick, between the massive existential crisis and the touch-repulsion, he goes a long while not wanting to at all. But as he recovers, he wills himself to be more openly romantic to Ben.

13) Who reaches for the other’s hand first?

Beeeen. He is an absolute SUCKER for hand holding. It’s his favourite form of reassurance...whether hes lonely/touch starved, frightened or anxious, he always finds at least some solace being close enough to Nick to touch. Nick can be a little antsy at first about Ben holding his “bad hand”, but Ben doesn’t let off, and he gets used to the fact that Ben accepts him as he is.

21) Who is more likely to start dancing with the other?

Ben more often wants to, but he rarely asks. Nick always does whenever he realises that Ben wants to, he’s not good for hiding things kjdshfg. Sometimes, neither of them ask. A song will come on, like Moonlight Serenade or Twilight Time, and they’ll be up, so long as they’re alone to each other

Benjamin Benevento aka Detective Dipshit, basic information post for the interested

He was born December 12th 2040 to two great parents, Gianna and Benjamin Benevento Sr. Despite his mother being a lawyer, they were less than well off partly due to her propensity for working pro-bono cases. His father was a crook, but was good to him, his younger brother Eugene and his mother. He died when Ben was 14, devastating him and changing the course of his life forever.

In 2062, he became a detective, spurred on entirely by the suspicious details surrounding his father’s murder. Shy of two years later, he’s transferred to Chicago, where he is partnered with the original Nick Valentine. At first, Nick is reluctant to work with a partner, but they soon warm to one another, eventually getting a lot closer than either of them would have expected. They even end up dating, but it’s all cut short when Ben is drafted into the Sino-American war. There, instead of becoming a power-armored foot soldier as they intended him to be he becomes a vertibird pilot. All due to the fact he could not hurt a fly, but excelled in the simulations.

This happens in 2073, and hes back before the year is over due to grievous injury when his vertibird is shot down. Presumed dead after he’s witnessed being flung into the wreckage, news of his death travels back home faster than its discovered he’s still alive. After a gruelling 25 hours, he’s recovered and saved, to his family and Nick’s utmost relief.

He doesn’t escape without a grievous amount of scars, mostly centred on his upper torso, as well as burns across the left of his face and a seared off ear lobe. Due to one of the wounds spanning from his chin down to his collarbone, he has difficulty speaking. For the first year, he is almost entirely mute, but it’s helped by therapy and time to heal.

When he gets back, he barely has anytime with Nick at all before he is transferred back home to Boston. Ben is almost fine with it, seeing as he’ll be able to be with his family, but he can’t escape the loneliness of being without Nick, especially after such an ordeal. He tries to write, but is met with no response each time. He doesn’t discover until they reunite that the letters had been withheld by his brother, who he had been staying with.

In case you’re wondering, yah i changed some of that sweet canon outside of things we just don’t know so can insert as we please. Jennifer Lands (despite Nick telling my actual Sole Survivor Nora that she was) was not his fiance, Ben was at the time of the bombs. She was instead an informant, one Nick worked closely with. One that got unjustly murdered, and Nick felt as though he could better get Nora’s help in bringing down Winter if it seemed more personal to him. Nick didn’t enjoy lying of course, but that’s just the way it ended up playing out. When Nora finds out the truth, they’re absolutely enraged. They weren’t against bringing down the scumbag, but just not under false pretences. But I digress lmao

Ben didn’t know Nora up until the day of the bombs. He was in Sanctuary when the sirens began blaring, and Nora grabbed him as he tried to escape and go back home to Nick. She begged and lied to him in order to protect Shaun: she needed a ‘husband’ to take the place of another family of similar circumstances. Ben agreed, not knowing how what they were doing could be considered despicable. He wanted them to survive- a mother and their son, but he wanted to survive himself also. For Nick.

He witnesses Nora get shot, but when he wake up its 5 years after Nora pried themself from the pod and got to work in her quest to find Shaun. He’s forgotten until it’s realised he’s the last way into the Institute after Nora is banished- Shaun has no reason to believe that he’s not his father.

What are some of your OCs favorite seasons? (Whichever OCs you want to talk about, they're all so cool)

Benjamin’s is Spring, he always likes to see everything come to life again to remind him he’s made it another year.

Llewellyn’s is Fall/Autumn, he manages to get a lot more work around that time. Plus, it’s a little cooler and less sunny, which is good for someone who gets sunburned from the fridge light.

Sabrina’s is Spring also. As a near agent of death, the part in her that feels bad for causing so much destruction likes to see that the earth isn’t affected by her, and the world will keep on turning.

Desi’s is Summer. He gets to see Llewellyn the most during this time, and gets a break from his studies in this time (his family are rich new california assholes lmao). It’s when he gets to sneak away with Llew every other night as opposed to every other week.
