Inktober (Falloutober) day 2

I promise I didn’t forget it’s Inktober! I understand that one of today’s prompts for those of us doing Falloutober variants (I’m too lazy to look any of the lists up so I’m cribbing the prompt off @twosides--samecoin 😂) was Blossoms. Please welcome Duncan MacCready and my LW Ben Jamison being very silly for today’s prompt (er, yesterday’s now).

I know y’all are used to seeing yucca as environmental foliage/a consumable item in FNV, but fun fact: in the US yucca isn’t confined to the Southwest - we have plenty on the East Coast as well, including in the DMV, and it is very hardy!  So, I choose to believe it’s available in the FO3/FO76 map areas. Adam’s Needle is the yucca species that grows here, and several parts of the plant (aside from the very toxic stems) are edible including the flowers, fruit and roots - as these doofs are currently demonstrating.

Mac vs. Ben (my Lone Wanderer), height differences.

-Mac does not enjoy being reminded that he’s still the “kiddo” of the adult group (he’s almost 24 here, this is very late 2288)

-This means that Ben (almost 32) is by prerogative of being an adoptive older sibling 100% obligated to remind him of this wherever circumstances permit

-Mac hasn’t grown an inch since he hit eighteen, and they last saw each other when he was 21, but, you know

Taking a break from the A Team, and switching over to the B Team for a change of pace.

Meet Ben Jamison, the Lone Wanderer of this group. Ben’s a good-natured asshole who Gets Shit Done but often improvises to make that happen. Chaos might or might not ensue. He has a habit of relying on his absurdly high Luck and Charisma good fortune and winsome personality to skate through situations successfully even when he could probably tackle them the Correct Way. One exception: he doesn’t take shortcuts when watching out for the people closest to him.

He and Deacon (Ben still calls him John) get along very well. People start to get worried when they’re within 100 miles of each other.

The outfit he’s wearing is the Point Lookout ferryman’s outfit (Grifter’s Fit) with part of the armor from Moira’s vault suit. That jacket’s got a lot of pockets! Very useful. I’m sure there’s a joke in here somewhere about this outfit and Charon’s name and being all matchy-matchy to send people across the river Styx, but I’m too tired to find it.
