Talk about main character energy:

At almost every step of the way a Bennett witch was connected with the doppelgängers throughout their history so in a way Bonnie was just as fated to be mixed up in all of it as any of them. Her Bloodline was what created the immortality spell that started it all with Qetsiyah . It was because of her ancestor Ayana that the original family came to the new world where they met Tatia . Emily was there in 1864 with Katherine and the Salvatores. Abby was the one who put Michael down when he came to town looking for Elena when she was younger. And Bonnie Bennett herself was childhood best friends with Elena. The Bennetts were truly in on all of it.

I hate when people make Bennett OCs whose only purpose in the story is to sacrifice themselves and die for the greater good.

It’s just a weird choice to me.

Episode One: Resurrection: Emily and Beatrice come back to life to help prepare Bonnie on defeating Klaus.

Episode Two: Family Ties: Beatrice decides to attend Mystic Falls High along with Bonnie to blend in as a normal student. Emily plots her revenge. [Emily: Do not worry about me, little one. I have my own grievances to settle with Damon Salvatore and Katherine Pierce.]

Episode Three: The Bargain: Katherine strikes up a deal with the Martin witches in exchange for her safety from Klaus and Emily. [Beatrice: Em, I don't trust the Martin Witches. Something is coming. It has to do with Bonnie. I can feel it.]

Episode Four: Witch Business: Bonnie is more determined and stronger than ever to defeat Klaus, finds herself in a tough position. [Bonnie: After Grams' died, I felt so alone and unseen until I had you two. Thank you, Em and Bea for being my family. Looking out for me.]

Episode Five: Concealed Devotion: With Greta out of the way, and his hybrid curse being broken soon. Klaus needed a new witch. Bonnie desired her friends and family's lives safe. Together, an unlikely romance blooms. Which the young witch feels guilty for as her family searches for them.

This was a fun test run💜.

Generations of Magic

I saw Jasmine Guy did a photoshoot when she was in Covington, Ga inspired by Sheila. I couldn’t help by parallel those photos with Bonnie.

Honorable mention: Kat’s vogue photo. She looks like a witch recharging in nature. Love how fluid she is.

stefan and bonnie are one of my otps! #stefonnie

I think I like them a lot because of the potential they had in every season to get together since season 3. And I tend to ship people that are unpopular/non-canon for some reason.

Plus, Stefan and Bonnie are very much alike in terms of character—they know the meaning of sacrifice, devotion and loyalty. But a lot of that comes with pain and suffering. I can see them trying to prevent one another from taking a big risk just to save everyone (which they did canonically). I think they’re twin flames actually, they both loved and lost.

Season 3 - they worked together to get back at Klaus. Stefan was in his ripper / no humanity / vengeance driven / era and Bonnie didn’t try to delude herself into believing he was the same guy she met. She treated him how he was and some interesting dynamic could’ve built off of that. He also never hurt her physically and I think that was because he was always gentle to her before that.

Season 4 - Stelena broke up. Bonnie was getting into expression. It would have been interesting for Stefan to get worried that expression was changing Bonnie in a bad way and tries to help her out. Instead of Rebekah, Stefan and Bonnie could’ve been a pair on the cure hunt. Not reducing Bonnie to a rebound, it would have been nice to see Stefan heal from his heartbreak by repairing a strained friendship.

Season 5 - Bonnie recently died from bringing Jeremy back to life, stefan drowning because of Silas— both forgotten the whole summer. There could’ve been a shared understanding of always saving but never being saved. Stefan not getting a chance to mourn Bonnie because silas threw him underwater and lost his memories at one point really sucked.

Plus Silas and Qestiyah are self-explanatory — stefan and bonnie lines have a long history. It would’ve been interesting that their ancestors see these two falling for each other instead of a doppelgänger

Season 6 - I honestly think that stefan and Bonnie should’ve been in the prison world together instead of her with Damon. They would’ve developed a close bond, repairing their friendship, and learning to be vulnerable with each other. Stefan would’ve never let her sacrifice herself for him either and would’ve murdered Kai every chance he got in that prison world for looking at Bonnie wrong (he killed for her before).

Season 7 - the huntress storyline, Bonnie being on the run from the armory. Instead of enzo, Bonnie and stefan should have ran away together exploring the world, finding comfort and safety in each other amidst the chaos. I also wish that the magic pills didn’t slowly kill Bonnie either that she had to switch out of her life force with Raina.

If not that, then they also could’ve gotten closer after Damon chose to abandon them by desiccating for 60 years because he’s a coward. It would have been satisfying to see that after 3 years, Damon sees his “best friend” and brother together, in love, and totally over his shit.

We could have had it all. Too bad we didn’t have a lot of stefonnie scenes because Kat graham and Paul Wesley couldn’t be serious to save their lives 😂

My friends and I have paused to argue because some have started reading The Vampire Diaries books.

Plec and her team erased and swapped a number of families - Smallwood became Lockwood, Bennett (Vicki) and Honeycutt (Matt) merged into Donovan, Sulez get erased entirely (which is upsetting because they're really interesting, but also glad Plec didn't get to ruin them too), and McCullough became Bennett.

But anyway, I'm arguing for why the TV Bennetts should've been made founders and the "but they're Black and have always been Black" argument has me heated and my friends currently fact checking me.

Making the Bennetts a family of Black people in historical White-town Virginia doesn't mean they couldn't have been founders. "They would've been slaves" was the main argument - Anthony Johnson was a slave owner IN VIRGINIA (colony) and a number of other free Blacks and mixed Blacks slave owners in Virginia and a few other states existed.

You legit can't argue that the time period of the town's founding was why the Black Bennett family couldn't be founders. Especially when the Salvatores, who were NOT founders in the book, were given that status and importance from it.

It was already bad enough Bonnie didn't get to be the bubbly/cutesy coming-of-age witch (a change I think was because they race-lifted her from White to Black). They could've made her family, the one that has ALWAYS been in Mystic Falls (Ayana), founders so she could've been more equal to Elena and Caroline (it wasn't done because of racism and ignorance to the history they used to try and justify said racism).

I started writing a Bamon Fanfic set in season 1 of TVD

I genuinely hated canon Damon so his character is changed to how I feel like he should've been written if they were planning on not keeping him a villain and killing him off like he deserved.

Changes from Canon:

Damon doesn't sexually assault women. 

Katherine compelled BOTH Damon and Stefan (otherwise Damon's an irredeemable bastard who let his 17 year old brother be continuously sexually assaulted).

The whole vampire no humanity thing isn't feeling no emotions, it's having no conscience or no sense of morality. 

When the Humanity Switch is on, you can connect with others, experience happiness and sadness, which fuels a sense of right and wrong. When someone turns off their Humanity Switch they may still feel emotions on a surface level (like sadness, anger, or joy), but the depth of these feelings becomes shallow. It's basically emotional detachment instead of just straight no emotions.

Damon and Stefan lived in 1775 not 1864. 

Damon was a Blue Coat in the American Revolutionary war not a Confederate soldier in the Civil War.

Mystic Falls is steeped in the American Revolution period not the Civil War period.
