Skirting round Lake Quaron and then up again onto the next set of hills. The ground is easier than yesterday, with dirt tracks and established paths.

A lake!! A reservoir actually, but called Lake Quaron. Aaitanit, our destination for the night, is on the closest shore. Still a few hours descent to get there, the Lake sits at 1070m, so we're still pretty high up. In the distance to the right you can see the snowy peak of Mt Hermon. Beyond that, Syria.
