It's the middle of the night but I just finished qi ye and have to tell you that I was inspired to read it because of, a while ago, seeing your art about the seven lifetimes of helian yi. I remember seeing it and immediately feeling it was so evocative and heartbreaking without even knowing the story at that time. After many months, I finally found some time to read the book and looking back at your art while knowing the story is even more heartwrenching, especially after reading the last extra with the first life's helian yi. Ahhhhhhh I'm feeling so many emotions right now and am very jumbled but really just wanted to say that your art is amazing and that I love the way that you retold the various lifetimes and the little details you put. When I first saw it, I wondered why the little rabbit charm in the first picture looked like it was being hanged and felt it was a bit morbid. After reading, I feel so much emotion just looking at the little detail and feel it's so genius! I probably went back and looked at the comic about a dozen times while I was reading the book too and ahhh it hurts so good. Also, I love all of your qi ye arts, your mxtx arts and your art style in general! I don't know too much about art but your style reminds me of calligraphy. I am rambling on so long now but my brain is just swirling with qi ye thoughts with nowhere to go haha. Anway, thank you for your art and for getting me into this book!! It will be living rent free in my brain for eternity
oh my god?? thank you so much ??? it's been more than a year since I've made that comic so I'm surprised it's found its way to you !
Thank you for giving Qi Ye a try! It's still one of my favorite novels. And I'm humbled to know that the comic managed to provide a diff. layer of depth to the canon story ;w;
Lastly thank you so much for taking the time to write this!! This honestly warmed my heart. So thank you and I wish you well !! Enjoy the QiYe brainrot hehehe
