A certain con doesn’t understand the importance of apples so I thought I’d give them a little lesson.
I Smell Apples
“Well, you look quite comfortable,” Helena hung her coat on the hook and closed the door to her workshop.
“I grew tired of waiting,” Wolly, seated in his chair, folded the paper he was reading down to look at his partner. “I used the key you have hidden in Winsor Seven.”
“I will have to find a new hiding place.” She smiled and put on her work apron.
“What is the news of the world,” Helena asked as she picked up her latest project. She had created a devise that would allow for radio waves to track a moving object. Why couldn’t the same waves be used to create a more efficient communications system for the Agents?
“Prussia continues grumble in the east,” Wolly flipped through the Times. “America readies for its World’s Fair,” he paused. “Mysterious murder in Devonshire,” his eyes scanned the article. “Seems a young man was found drained of blood. Possibly by two puncture holes in his neck.”
He looked up from the paper. “The Slayer?”
“In Japan.” Helena replied. “Hopefully it’s just one passing through.”
“Indeed.” Wolly went back to reading.
The pair were silent for some time. Wolly reading and Helena tinkering. They had made plans with McShane for a late supper and a pint at the Old Bell when their friend returned from his retrieval.
“HG,” Wolcott put the Times down again. “Have you changed your perfume?”
“Are you saying I have an odorous odor?” she joked.
“No,” he stood and circled the room. “Do you not smell that?”
“The apples,” she pulled off her goggles. “Of course, since my first day.”
“It means the Warehouse likes you.” She smiled and pulled her goggles down again. “Took it long enough.” She mumbled.
“Since the first day,” Wolly plopped down in his chair. “Bloody hell.”

The Bering and Wells Show, part 1
It’s time for The Bering and Wells Show! Thank you @deathtodickens for creating this fun idea for this weekend.
My first contribution is a take on the excellent Wandavision that just finished. Spoilers for those who haven’t seen the show.
That you haven’t even noticed and that the pity is…
“What if we just let this play out?” Steve asked, looking over Claudia’s shoulder. “If they just stick with their characters, it should resolve itself, right?”
Artie huffed. “That’s not how these alternate reality artifacts work. They go along smoothly at first, but as Pete and Myka get further and further in..”
“There’s no coming back.” Claudia interrupted.
“Or worse.” Artie finished.
The three of them watched the ancient monitor that somehow gave the Agents the ability to follow the bizzarro world that Pete and Myka were trapped in. Steve had figured out that the artifact was the remote from Pleasantville and that Pete was the culprit. He had somehow pulled Myka into his world.
Which had consisted of sitcoms starting in the 1950s and currently in the 1970s. There had been talks of kids but Myka was a career woman and wouldn’t hear of it. This season they had added a new wrinkle to the show with the pair starting a private detective agency, Bering and Latimer.
“Ratings must be slipping,” Claudia commented.
“Any news?”
The three jumped at Mrs. Fredric’s voice.
“They changed up the format to dramedy and are now solving mysteries. So far nothing artifact related has appeared on the show.” Artie supplied.
“The Regents and I have decided in insert a new element to help break this artifact’s hold on Pete and Myka.”
“Oh my Mary Tyler Moore! Is that who is the new neighbor?” Claudia shouted.
“Are you sure that’s the best choice?” Artie asked
“That’s the only choice.”
