First of all, CONGRATULATION to all our nominees!!

Voting will begin on July 16 and end on July 28 so take your time, read everything and enjoy the talent of our fandom!

You can vote for ONE single fic in each category EXCEPT for BEST FLUFF, BEST 5+1, BEST FIC, BEST FIRST FIC and THIS SHOULD HAVE MORE KUDOS for which you can vote for TWO fics. ONE vote for art categories, Videos and artists. Don’t worry, a post with the rules for voting will be made soon.

How to vote?

Voting begins July 16 and ends on July 28 (23h59/11:59pm GMT)

Each of you can vote ONCE. Submit everything at once because when your vote is sent, you can’t change it, so make sure not to make any mistakes.

You can choose ONE fic in each category to vote for.

EXCEPT for:

BEST FLUFF

BEST 5+1

BEST FIC

BEST FIRST FIC

THIS SHOULD HAVE MORE KUDOS

for which you can vote for TWO fics.

You can find the Nominees List HERE and HERE (for mobile).

Just copy the category list you’ll find HERE and in the pinned post for mobile, fill it with your votes and SUBMIT it to the blog.

We’ve got some anonymous asks lately accusing the Awards to have been “another popularity contest”.

Just to be clear. The idea when we decided to organize the Berlermo Awards was to shine some light on less known authors/artists. We said in the rules that you could campaign for your fics/arts. We didn’t see a single post to promote your work. When someone asked us to add a non-english category because they didn’t read in english, we did it to include the fandom as a whole and not just the English speaking side.

YOU decided to nominate who you call “popular authors/artists”, YOU decided to vote for them.

The rules were clear, you HAD to have been nominated at least three times to make it in the official list. Guess what? When we saw who had reached the number of nomination needed, we decided to include fics/art/videos with only two nominations so the same names would not be the only ones nominated in each category.

We also decided to include every single fic nominated in the “Best first fic” and “Best this should have more kudos” categories so everybody nominated would have a chance to win.

Once again, we didn’t decide who would be the nominees or the winners, the fandom did. Someone once said that the Awards felt like government elections. It works the same, you can’t complain about the ruler of your country if you didn’t bother to go and vote.

Someone asked if we could at least post the final stats and/or the second and third places. We won’t do it because that would once again be called a “popularity contest”. Just know that NONE of the nominees were left without at least two votes on their fic/art/video.

And lastly, saying that the Awards are a popularity contest ONLY is not very nice for the authors/artist who spent days and weeks, even months sometimes, working on their fics/fanart/video.

Sorry for the rant, but we felt it was needed.

Berlermo Awards Schedule

Here we go guys! Since you seem to be interested by the event, here’s what we propose as schedule.

You have until June 28th to suggest new categories for the event.

Those who don’t have tumblr will have until June 30th to register an email address to send your nomination ballot and vote (see nomination rules)

Nominations: July 1st to July 13th (23h59/11:59pm) Votes: July 16th to July 28th (23h59/11:59pm) Ceremony: August 1st

Nominations are officially open!

A quick reminder:

You can nominate as many fic/art/video as you want for each category

You can nominate WiPs as long as they have at least three chapters already posted for every category (except for Best OS)

You can campaign to promote your work (tag it Berlermo Awards)

If you forgot to nominate something submit it and we’ll add it to your nomination list

No nomination will be accepted in the askbox, you have to be logged and use the submit option to send your nominations.
