"We are pleased to announce the third year of the Berlin Art Prize. Through April 1, 2015 any artist who has been living in Berlin for a minimum of six months is invited to apply for the Berlin Art Prize 2015 here.

In summer 2013 the Berlin Art Prize was awarded for the first time, honoring contemporary art from Berlin. Out of all of the applications, 30 artistic positions were nominated for the prize and presented in an exhibition and catalog. The overview of art production in Berlin, covering all genres, will take place again in 2015. Thirty works will be selected by a jury and presented from June 13 – July 4, 2015 in a group exhibition and publication.

This year's award ceremony, exhibition, and a broad program of concerts, talks, and events are hosted by DISTRICT Berlin in Tempelhof-Schöneberg. The exhibition and award ceremony, where the winners will be announced, will take place on June 13, 2015. Winners will receive prize money, a one-month residency in Greece in the fall of 2015, and a trophy exclusively designed by artist Yael Bartana.”
