For Years, I’ve Told Myself Over And Over Again “It Gets Better” And Sometimes On The Days That I Felt Close To God I Guess You Could Say That I Believed Them Because No Matter How Many Bullets Hit Me In My Chest Somehow I Precieved Them As A Sign To Try Harder

What Was I Trying So Hard For Though.?

For Years I Kept Waiting And Again I Would Repeat “It Gets Better” Sometimes On The Days That I Walked Upon The Edges Of My Sanity I Would Ask Myself Why I Force Inner Being To Say Something That My Heart Doesn’t Truly Believe

What Was I Trying To Prove To Myself.?

Today, I Still Say To Myself “It Gets Better” In Hopes That Somehow The Positivity Would Spark Something Worth Looking Forward Too Sometimes I Wonder If What I Have It’s As Good As It Gets

Why Am I So Selfish.?

If Things Get Better Why Must It Always Happen When We Get Comfortable With Being Miserable Change, It’s Not Really My Thing

Maybe Happiness Isn’t Really My Thing Either

But You Know What People Say, “It Gets Better”
