Jeez im currently rebuilding my wiped 2k plus fic archive but i just need to find this fic now where stiles gets accidentally sent back in time and hes trying to set derek and paige up as to not mess up the timestream but its him who derek falls in love with. Any ideas? Please halp.

But what happens when you go back in time and, uh, accidentally interrupt the one event that apparently made the Grumpiest Alpha in Town into a ball of mindless manpain?

Well, if Marty McFly can do it, so can Stiles Stilinski. All he has to do is get Derek and Paige to fall in love before he gets pulled back to his own time. And before he makes anything worse. That's easy as pie, right? Right?

In Gotg they have whole file who thanos is and who are his daughters etc. To me it seems they know more of him because he probably cause more trouble to them (rather than to Asgard).

I honestly could not remember how much people knew about Thanos (or Gamora or Nebula), but that does mean that Asgard is at least aware of who Thanos is. The next question then is:  Is Thanos an old power or a new power in the MCU?  You can’t really count on comics background, they change stuff all the time (look at Ultron for a recent perfect example!), so is he someone that they’d be watching out for, that they know is a huge power?  Or is he just getting started for the first time? Hell, we don’t even know if he wants to rule or if he just wants everyone dead to woo Lady Death! (I definitely need to rewatch GotG with an eye for this!)

I know, right? It was revealed by Feige yesterday. I think it’s too early to speculate what it might mean for the future movies, but I totally want epic-length fic where Thor, with the help of Loki, goes on a realm-wide quest to look for the two missing Infinity Stones so they can put them on the Gauntlet that they have in Odin’s vault. Or maybe even one gem in the gauntlet would be enough to save Asgard from the End or beat something like Surtur, who Loki for whatever reason will probably set loose in Thor 3 if the rumors about Surtur being the main villain are true :)

I've watched gotg seven times! i love it so much, i think it has so much heart <3 I love anything cosmic and colorful, the earth stuff is bland and boring. Cap 2 was great but i wouldn't watch it again unless my mom wants to see it

Same! Same! :) And yeah, I loved how colorful and vibrant the movie looked and how much heart it had. I want more of this kind of adventure and humor and good times! It also has a killer soundtrack! The movie is pretty formulaic, but imo that's a problem that's starting to become noticeable in all the movies in the MCU.

I was meh-ing and kept skipping the 2nd time I watched it.

You mean GotG or Cap 2? As you can see from my original post, I loved GotG, but I had the meh reaction with Cap 2. It has elements I enjoy like how they portray Steve and Natasha, but overall, I found it boring the first time I saw it and it was even worse on the rewatch, feeling somehow extra meh after having just seen GotG :/ There are things in it that Marvel hasn't done before, but nothing about it stood out or felt original. It felt too predictable and like a copy of dozens of regular action flicks, a mix between the new Bond movies and the Bourne franchise. I know a lot of people like it, but it's just not my thing or what I want to see in a comic book movie.

You've probably been asked this before but would you rather the MCU did the Aesir / Vanir / etc as literal gods or do you like them as they are now (advanced superpowered aliens)?

Well, this is a somewhat difficult question, because I'm kind of torn about this particular subject. I love the myths and I was familiar with the Aesir and Vanir from Norse myths long before I even knew Thor was also a comic book hero.

But having said that, I also understand that Marvel comics and MCU have very little to do with mythology and if I want to read about actual gods, I need to dig up my copy of the Eddas.

Before The Avengers and TDW happened, I kind of did assume that Thor was an actual god in MCU too. I know there are some lines in the first movie that hints at them being advanced aliens, but I could still go with the god theory if I wanted to, and I could certainly picture them living longer than 5000 years.

But then The Avengers and TDW kind of made it very clear that Thor is an alien and the Vikings simply mistook them for gods. I don't personally believe in any ancient Norse deity or any other deities, but the way this subject is handled in the movies, especially in The Avengers, still kind of rubs me the wrong way. I never know how I feel about Cap's line in the quinjet... Should I take it as something said by a character whose values and beliefs are from a world that seems old-fashioned to me, or are the actual moviemakers trying to say that there's only one true God and in this universe the Norse gods are basically fake?

And I guess the alien thing is more realistic, but I personally am not looking for realism in comic book movies. For me, an actual god Thor is more interesting. But all I really ask from Marvel is to not diminish Thor's powers just because they don't want the rest of the Avengers to appear weak in comparison. I want him to be the most powerful member of the team and I want him to be "godly" with and without Mjölnir. Make it obvious that he's often holding back and not using his full strength and give him the tasks that no one else in the team can handle instead of making him a de-powered "demi-god".
