You realize in your own life that some things are as irreversible as a story already seen or read, already told; things that lead us down a path from which we cannot stray or on which we can, at best, allow ourselves to improvise, perhaps a gesture or a wink that goes unnoticed; a plan we must follow even if we intend to escape, because although we may not have chosen it, we are on that path and it conditions our every move, our every prisoned step, regardless of whether we follow it faithfully or run away from it.
