Hi ! It's me ( again ) I hope that I'm not annoying you so many questions but if your stories were made into movies what people would you cast for Toni, Stephanie, and etc ?
You are absolutely not annoying! I love your questions! And I actually have a few casts in mind for what actresses would have been chosen in an alternate universe where this ‘verse was made into movies. So, I decided to do way too much research on IMDb, and I’ve cast the original six:
For Toni, I imagine casting Winona Ryder. She’s the right age and has the correct appearance (dark hair/eyes), and she also pulls off short hair which is a must for Toni. And also, there’s a bit of a narrative where RDJ was such a great Iron Man because of his fall from grace in the late nineties/early 2000s from his addiction issues, and it allowed him to resonate more with Tony’s character. Winona Ryder had a similar fall from grace around the same time, for shoplifting instead of drug use, but I don’t know why, but I like the idea of her getting the same narrative if she was Toni.
For Bertie, I think I liked Jennifer Connelly. Again, she’s the right age. And I also love how she looks, aesthetically I feel like it vibes with Bertie. (Let’s just ignore that she voiced Karen in Spiderman: Homecoming and is technically in the MCU already). I also think it’s funny how she played Elizabeth Ross in the very bad Universal Picture’s Hulk 2003 adaptation.
For Nat, it’s a bit hard to pick someone because I wanted it to be a nonbinary or genderfluid actor who was assigned female at birth. Luckily, there were actually two contenders! Ruby Rose and Asia Kate Dillon. I settled on Dillon because they were born in November 1984, the same month and year as Nat. Also, I love the way they look and I just really think they’d pull off the character.
For Thordis, I believe that I settled on Yvonne Strahovski because she’s Australian like Hemsworth, but has the same Northern European blonde hair blue eyes that is so typical of our perception of Vikings. I feel like she has the look and the accent, and I like her in the Handmaid’s tale, so I’m sold on her.
For Stephanie, I’m solid on Blake Lively. She’s absolutely the tall, blonde bombshell I envision Stephanie being. She has a prominent face birthmark like Evans (albeit in a different place). There’s a gifset I remember seeing somewhere comparing hers and Chris Evans’ facial expressions and they are ridiculously similar. Also, how hilarious would it be if Captain America and Deadpool were married IRL?
Lastly, for Claire, I believe I settled on Jennifer Garner for the typical reasons; age, appearance and aesthetic. I also really loved her on Alias, and she was Elektra in Ben Affleck’s Daredevil and the associated spin-off, so I think she could pull off a super spy even now! (I went back to look at her as Elektra, and I forgot we dressed female superheroes like that in ~2000)

I've never been a huge fan of The Incredible Hulk (2008) but it was definitely interesting to try to adapt my own rendition. What I found most frustrating was the lack of development for the main character, but I did my best to flesh out Bertie Banner as best I could.
