Lockdown

Sooo, I was thinking. The mood seems to be swinging a bit towards an “exit” strategy. But, tbh, for the people of around my age that I know, the lockdown isn’t so bad. 

We feel safe.

We are comfy in our electronically gilded cages.

We’re talking to our families far more than before.

We enjoy being creative to overcome the problems.

We’re saving money.

If, like me, you’re over 60 and male, it’s far better than the alternative.....

....and my 20 something year old kids have a rather different list. I get that. I do still have a memory.

This, my ‘ansome, is  Saint Piran's Flag, the flag of Cornwall. In Cornish:  Baner Peran.

You’ll see it a lot in Cornwall both in flag form and also as a sticker on cars and vans. If you see it outside Cornwall, it’s probably a Cornish person in exile....:(

Now, gaming.

I play a massive multiplayer called Guild Wars 2 (GW2).

In the game many (real) people play together within the game to complete objectives, fight dragons and get the best looking armour and weapons (″gear”) possible. We can also fight each other.

GW2 is going strong many years after its initial release. Why? Because it’s super friendly and has new content being released all the time to challenge us.

It is very welcoming to newcomers so have a watch of this and maybe give it a go. You can play for free to get a feel of it.
