Annie please wake up.....
Bertholdt and Reiner were silent as they walked down the corridor. It reaked of sulfur. The torch they carried lit their way into the chamber, they were the last to hear about what happened. When they saw a glimpse of the crystal from around the corner, they stopped. All was silent. So the rumors we’re true… Their even breaths were quiet as they stared at the large egg shaped crystal holding their dear friend trapped inside. No that was the wrong word, she put herself in there. She left them. She wasn’t taken. Reiner approached the prison, wiping away at the dust so he could see clearly inside. There she lay, calmly like she was sleeping. Bertholdt stood from afar and watched. He knew Riener was an emotional guy, he had watch him break down many times and this time was no different. Reiner yanked and pulled on the rope holding the crystal upright. “You BITCH, you can’t do this to us! WE’RE A TEAM! You me and Berty… you can’t…. you can’t FUCKING abandon us!” He yelled. Bertl slowly waded his way forward placing a hand on Reiner’s shoulder as the larger man pulled at the ropes. Tears streamed his face until only breathy sobs came out. Bertl watched as Reiner tilted his head on the edge of the gem. “Please…. please, please, PLEASE wake up Annie.” Reiner pleaded and whimpered when no response came. This was how it usually was right? Bertl was the silent one who let whatever or happen, happen. Reiner was the brute, but wasn’t the whole strength considering Annie can kick his…. could kick his ass. Annie was the brain, usually. She wasn’t what her bitch face let her lead on to be. She was kind and quiet but very paranoid at the same time. What would they do now? Without her Reiner and Bertl were reckless. Bertl watched Reiner sob but when he looked at Bertl all he saw was hopelessness in the blondes eyes. Reiner pulled Bertl into a strong hug whispering “this isn’t fair its just not!” Bertl could only rub the blondes back and stay silent. It was after awhile that Bertl spoke: “Reiner, we’re the bad guys…. we don’t get happy endings.”
