Almost done with my last frame for the Best Frames Ever project. I drew and painted seven frames in total (one pencil, six ink and watercolour). Looking forward to seeing the finished animation now.

The Best Frames Ever Project

Okay, the moment I learned about it I put all the other stuff I'm working on aside and dived right in, and it turned out to be. So. Much. Fun! As far as I know, there are still some unclaimed frames, so it's not too late to hop in! Come join our bunch of lovely artists who work on recreating the Hug Scene from the 5th Episode. You'll get a lot of love and appreciation as well as some feedback if needed. But more importantly, when people keep doing the same thing over, and over, and over again, it kinda pushes you into being even more creative, seeking out non-obvious solutions and thinking out of the box. I've only had time to do two frames, but I can tell I've grown immensely as an artist while working on them. I'm sharing some snippets for now, but please, wait for the moment when the project will go live, the works I've seen so far are outright stunning, and dbda fandom is gonna be overflowing with beautiful art pieces when everything is finished!

this is my first time attempting this style digitally, and it's been really fun (and challenging) using (mostly) traditional techniques on an ipad!!!

Have you heard of the Best Frames Ever project?

it's a super cool fanart project where different artists draw frames from The Hug(tm) scene, that will later be put back together to make a gif of the scene out of all of our artwork!

The project still needs many more artists, as there are still lots of frames left to draw!

Here are some WIP shots of two of my frames~ I'm sooo excited to share the finished frames once the project is done! It's been super fun to work on these and talk to other artists in the fandom, everyone is super nice :)

If you want to join in, we'd love to have you! As far as I know there's no current application form, but if you let me know you're interested, I'll point you in the direction of the new form as soon as I have it :)
