At the beginning of Episode 50 after the squad gets Myth Carver from Osisa’s mate and a number of them suffered an aging effect in his lair... Vax had aged 20 some years and he talks about how he always knew he’d age gracefully, he just thought he had more time beforehand... And then I get to thinking how this is the only time he’d ever reach that age. He’d never age gracefully, and he’d never get to experience growing old. But at least he got to see it once...  :(

*CAMPAIGN ONE SPOILERS*

while I hate that I’ve let myself get spoiled for so much of the plot of campaign 1, it is really nice to be able to pick up on all this accidental foreshadowing and dramatic irony. for example, everyone’s reaction to Vax being aged up by the androsphinx, Vex laughing about how this is the only time they’ll be different ages, Vax joking that he knew this would happen eventually but he thought he had a few more years, Keyleth commenting that he still looks good and implying she expects them to grow old together--

and by nice I mean absolutely devastating
