It has been four months since that night and Jaime is certain they've never spent more time with one another than they do now. At least twice a week they meet, whether it be for coffee or drinks and they message near constantly when they are apart.

Though nothing has happened between them, Jaime is certain of one thing- there has been a shift between them. And he is eager to explore that.

Jaime had invited Renly to his penthouse that evening. A bold move, perhaps, but if anything was to happen between them, it would have to happen here. Jaime's sexuality becoming public knowledge was still too high a risk.

They're onto their second movie and third drink when Jaime throws caution to the wind. Delicately, he takes Renly's drink from him, setting it down on the table in front of the couch. Then, he shifts closer, giving him every opportunity to push him away before he closes the space between them in a lingering kiss.

When it came to matters like these, Renly usually turned to Stannis. Despite Renly’s age, he had been rather honest and blunt with him  — except from when they almost died — and he also knew how to comfort him if the answer Renly sought was upsetting. Robert was...the fun brother, the one Renly ran to when he wanted to play, or misbehave. But Stannis was in another city now, and Robert had not been the same, not really, not after the war.

Still, Renly did not expect his brother to say something like this to him, so the twelve years old boy is left to stare at Robert for a moment. Then he nods quietly, glancing between the floor and Robert. Renly had not understood it at first, why his brother had been so different after the war. He had been a brave soldier, after all, fighting for their country, and that meant he would come back a hero to put an end to what he and Stannis were going through. Robert had come back, but not the way Renly expected him too. It took him a while to search answers as to why.  ❝Is that why you are so angry sometimes?❞ he asks, half-expecting Robert to change the subject or dismiss it entirely.

              A frown knits together the elder brother’s brows, The others reaction was not what he had expected. Robert was not the subject of this conversation, and he fails to see why Renly has to make it soo? The question makes Robert feel uneasy in his own skin and he shifts a bit, Renly is growing up, he is not a child anymore, and so perhaps it is natural for him to have questions about more serious things, like the war, But Robert does’t really know what to say, yes i get angry sometimes, because i am a massive pussy, doesn’t seem like the appropriate responds, so he reaches up to scratch his beard,  And when his hand falls back to the side, the frown is replaced by a smile.   

              “I am not sure what you’re getting at Ren” He says, settling on avoiding the subject. “I might have a bit of a temper, but i don’t have any truma - it would be nice, to have something to blame it on, but this rage is all me.”

Renly Baratheon [@bestofthem​ ]

              The Carriage wheel rolls over yet another bump in the road, causing her forehead to bump against the wooden frame, around the bar covered hole that serves as their window, and source of light. She snorts to herself.  Serves me right for letting out all the warmth. So the heavy curtain is drawn once more, leaving her only with the carriage’s original prisoner, as a source of entertainment. 

               When Asha looks at her own reflection, she sees Rodrik, and Maron, she sees them in her smile, and her sharp nose, Both her older brothers live on in her, and with her actions she honors them. They were not ghosts, as Balon and Alannys would make them, but cherished memories, that served to preserve her inner fire. Like the isles of their people, their love had been hard and genuine. Was Stannis the same?  Asha knew his mercy towards her was solely a matter of duty, it is poor taste to execute a warrior after she yields. But perhaps Renly was not exclusively alive because kinslaying is a cursed thing. But because Stannis wants to teach him something?

I remember the day my father knelt before Robert, and i thought he must have had giant’s blood in his veins. of course, Victarion is a massive man as well, but he too seemed small that day. It is almost disappointing to find, that you’re no more than men.”

           In their world, there is so much Death, and fortunately, most of those who’s life has come to an end are wise enough to let the crone guide them to the life beyond. but not Joanna, for watching her family spiral towards the abyss is the after life she’s chosen - its like witnessing a jousting accident, where blood pours out between the cracks of the armor. - and you simply cannot look away.           has this one,  doomed himself similarly so? or was the dark magic, too much for the Crone’s light to shine though.?             “You shouldn’t linger here -”
