most romantic movies on earth
Okay so i kind of had thoses little breakdowns were you watch 10 cheesy movies one after the other because you feel like being desired but you’re actually a sack of fat. so i checked online if i could fine some other of this curative movies and guess what ?! i found the most incredible BULLSHITS of all times like bitch please how is notting hill first in your list followed by cinderella (the movie, no disney)??? I’m sorry guys but notting hill is so over rated, it’s some amateur shit with bleak dialogues i wanna throw my eyes and ears in a moulinex chopper when i see this. So i wanted to share with you what according to me was a REAL romantic movie and list the best ones because i feel like a lot of people need a hand there. of course this list will be a bit of a mix of everything, like action/sy fy movies, a bit queer but not as much as I would unfortunately or even thrillers...
SOOOooo i’m not quite in the mood of making a ponderate list so there’s no n°1, 2, 3, more like the best, then the very good ones, then the only “good ones” and what’s left can suc my d*. (Still, i’m open to movies i’d not see yet or just forgot).
Okay, i’m thinking at first at Matrix. this movie, beyond of being a masterpiece is indeniably one of the best love story. To Neo and Trin, all is about the other. In the second movie, when neo is asked if he wants to reload the matrice or not he don’t hesitate a second to say no because he would lose Trin. Then in the last opus, when he heard Trin was dead he just drop it and sacrifies himself. And our hearts are bleeding a dark and thick blood.
Then i think about 2 movies with my fella Jim Carrey. Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind which totally deserved an oscar. Winslet and Carrey penetrated my soul and it hurt but who cares and on top of all the music omfg the korgis on Everybody’s got to learn sometimes it’s mesmerizing. Then The Truman show where a guy drive bananas and re-evaluate his whole perfect world for a woman he loves. Same for her, you can see this hoe hasn’t slept since she got kicked out of the stage and her heart got smashed by capitalist lifestyle( what a shame i guess...?).
THEN, one of the best of the best: Carol, with Cate bae Blanchett and Rooney Mara. the 60s aesthetic gave me an intellecual boner and the playing is too good. Just please rooney, stop being so straight with your pinched lips, sometimes it ruins the pictures.
I’m now thiniking of an extremely good movie with Cate bae blanchett too and also Brad bae Pitt, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It’s the story of a baby who was born old and grow younger through the year. His childhood and forever love is cate and they meet halfway until brad grow extra young and leave cate. She finally find him as a senile baby he dies in her arms. Brad is so hot and handsome in the movie that you could totally throw yourself in volcano it would be the same (even if it causes some technical problems but that’s not the subject).
Now we’re getting into some serious shit fellas: yeah i know that you know what i’m thinking about: Call me by your name with Thimothé Chalamet and Armie Hammer. what is incredible is that it’s not gay shit, it’s love shit! u know what i’m talking bout guys, the aesthetic is fire, the camera work is dope cause it’s showing throughout the movie how both of the characters are getting closer. in short: one of the best movie of the year if not he best.
In the same kind, Brokeback Mountain with Jake Gyllehnejzkebfqzal (sorry sweetheart but srsly u kidding?) and Heath Ledger. It’s just so smooth and tender and delightful (who would’ve thought?)
OH MY F GOD!!! I’VE JUST NOTICED I HAVE NOT PUT ONE OF THE BEST ONES! Jeux d’enfants with Guillaume Canet and Marion Cotillard is in my top ten movies. It’s crazy, funny and french. please watch asap, it’s vital that everyone felt that.
Then, I’m thinkin about La la Land: pretty good, loved the aesthetic and the music (it’s major isn’t it?), I kind of had a hard time to digest the end and that’s partly why it has its place in my top list.
One of my favorites ones too: directed by the emperor Hayao Miyazaki, The Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. It was tough choosing two so imagine choosing one his movies, sorry lord, his masterpieces. All of his characters are deeply complex and fighting against it with love as a weapon and god knows it’s haikus to my ears.
Ok so it’s 4 AM in Paris and i dont want to think anymore so please add all the things i forgot, i’ll add some modifications later. Please don’t mind my weird way to express my self, i’m a self taught billingual.
