It’s got a butt on its head.  It’s obviously supposed to be a heart, and maybe even vaguely some kind of nurse’s hat, but that is a butt.  This Beta Blissey has a nice overall form but the more you look at the details the weirder they get.  Why an egg pouch over each hip?  That seems less safe for the eggs than centering it over the underbelly.  The weird ‘hair’ flaps go all the way down the sides in a way that looks maybe a little more monsterlike than the cutesy maternal Blissey is supposed to look.  The hip eggs and side tentacles were redesigned nicely into Blissey’s apron frill things.  If we must stick extra details on the sides of Blissey’s butt then minimalist is the way to go, I guess.

Okay, this design is definitely too much. I don’t care for it. It’s awkward and I don’t know what’s going on in it. Why the heart-head? What’s going on with the sides? What are those? Where’s the egg? The real Blissey’s 100% an improvement.
