i feel like ive lost something

sometimes my life feels like a race not just one long race, but smaller individual ones i guess it stems from the thought that everything is temporary  its what got me through some of the hardest times in my life its also put me through its own hardships at the moment though my friends are all in different places in their lives some chose to go to school others decided to take a year off and work i know people who have the next 5 years of their life planned i also know people who have who havent given the slightest thought about progressing

they are happy as is,

 im happy for all them

sometimes i feel like its a race to happiness  and when im happy the thought comes back to help ruin it its only temporary 

i fell and i watched all my friends continue on in the race no one heading for the same goal, all with their own hurdles

currently in my life i guess im just

trying to figure out which direction to go
