Congrats on one year!I'm so glad I checked out this story out on a whim&I'm gonna be honest,I didn't expect much other than to read a couple of chapters since so many spn oc stories have let me down, but u came out of left field with ur writing&I fell in love,&now I have Kat,Christine&Sadie. I would love to see any headcannons or anything you've wanted to share but doesn't really fit in the story. Maybe Dean finding out Kat is bi,them running into Beth,or the ex that made her learn selfdefense
Thank you so much!!! I know what you mean about needing to find a story that clicks, and I can’t say how much it means that you felt Gospel did the trick. Kat’s been living in my head for a couple years now, and she’s come a long way. I’m just so happy you like my girls! ❤️
Now, Dean finding out that Kat is bi is definitely in the story, so I won’t go too much into that. Kat’s high school life isn’t going to get any air time in the present—partially because Dean would kill a few people on sight, and partially because I wouldn’t want to give them attention or satisfaction. (Fictional…satisfaction I guess.) But you’re definitely not the first to suggest a guest appearance from Beth!
It would probably take a really nosy demon to get Beth involved, the kind of situation where someone’s trying to lure Kat out by threatening someone from her past. Beth would probably be floored to say the least by Kat’s arrival. They split long before Jess died, even before Sam came to Stanford, so it’s safe to say things have changed. I don’t think she’d necessarily be surprised by Kat though. Even then, Kat was closed off, determined, and principled. Now she just fights demons on top of abusers.
Dean would be delighted, obviously. He’s just nosy and gleeful like that. He would certainly not like that Sam already knows all about Beth, no doubt given the scoop by Jessica. Dean can’t really see how Kat ended up with someone so positive and free spirited. (Beth takes real quick to the idea of demons, but won’t pick up a gun. She’ll take salt over a weapon any day.) But I think by the end he’d understand why Beth was exactly what Kat needed at the time, someone who helped her let go of her pain and learn to laugh again. I imagine he’d be a little self conscious, since all he’s ever seemed to do is bring Kat more problems and trauma. But I think Beth would reassure him that he’s teaching Kat how to cope too, reminding her how to feel instead of closing herself off. They’re not all that different. Except for the fact that they are very, very different haha.
This is getting very long but I’m now inspired to make a gifset about Beth haha!
