"Please don't leave me." -Chrobin

 “Please don’t leave me…”  Her silence pierced deeply inside the core of his heart.  “Please…” Face softly nuzzling on the top of her head, Chrom squeezed her hands for a response, a reaction, anything. “Hey…” A gulp slid down his dry throat, scraping through the skin as if he had swallowed copper. “Y-you promised right…?”  All he received was silence.

 “H-hey…” His voice wavered, broken and brittle until a crack of a whimper slipped through. “We’re two halves of a whole remember…?” Hot tears coated in his eyes, yet Chrom did all that he could not to shed a single tear. “You promised that we’ll get through this together…” The grasps on her hands tightened, yet it physically pained him to know that she didn’t move a single muscle.  Desperation grew thicker. Rationality flickered dimmer.  “You promised…” Slowly he wiggled his left hand from her own. Her body now pressed against him, Chrom slid his left arm around her shoulder. “You promised…” Again and again he muttered, voice echoed but nothing of a broken chant. “You promised…” Both arms now snaked around her, palms pressed against her back.  “Please say something…” Head now sliding down until his mouth brushed her right ear, Chrom panted lightly as if breathing had become impossible for him. “Please…anything…” Eyes tightly shut, the Ylissean King pressed his lips onto the tip of her ear. “P-please Robin…”  Finally, a reaction was given.  Unfortunately, that reaction was her body limply sliding against his chest.  Drip. Drip. Trickles of flesh and blood slid from the corners of her mouth. The gaping wound on her back was vainly cupped by his right hand as if that alone could stop the bleeding.  “Please-” Chrom gasped weakly, tone now choked by sheer desperation.  The sound of her heartbeat had ceased, and it was then replaced by the sound of his anguished shrills.END
