Just a thought or 2 on love.
It's such a joy to love... even when it hurts. I know, you say, love shouldn't hurt. But it's part of being alive. It's all a part of being human. If we do not love, then we do not know Christ. There are so many kinds of love. Friends, family, relationship, loving your neighbor. Be kind. Help those who cannot help themselves.
Be the proof that love wins!
Take it from someone who has made a lot of mistakes, love is still worth it. Seeing a frown turn to a smile, hearing a new person laugh at a joke you've told a million times, being a shoulder to cry on, having an ear to listen... its worth it. But why do it? Why make yourself vulnerable? What if you get hurt? Well, truth is, you're gonna get hurt a time or 3. It's a part of life as well. But it will be worth it. Dont let what someone has done to you keep you from opening yourself up to someone who could love you like Christ and be at least part of the happiness you find in each day.
Dont let your past rob you of your future.
One day, I'll find the one that loves me as I do them, but until then, I'll still share a love with everyone. A heartache here and there is not going to make me sacrifice my chance at true love. That's just it, you have to be willing to take chances. You've gotta be willing to make mistakes, to put your heart on the line; you have to be willing to say "yes."
