//Hello, this is my first post for this account. It’s mostly going to be fanfiction, so if you like that kind of stuff, you found the right blog. This one is a short criminal AU for the ship Phan. Enjoy.

Good morning, I see the assassins have failed. //

It’s around eight in the morning when my alarm goes off nearly giving me a heart attack. I groan flipping over and face planting the pillow. The light shines through my open curtains, warming my bare back. I sigh contently before remembering that I have important business to attend to today. I begrudgingly get out of bed and slump downstairs in nothing more than a pair of boxers. I put a kettle on and lean against the marble counter as I wait, being an agent sure pays well. After a few minutes of waiting it finally boils over. I make my tea, letting the cup warm my hands. I walk over to my large, carpeted living room. 

I hear a soft creak in the wooden floor behind me. I lazily turn around and am met with the man I paid to be killed last night. Familiar ice blue eyes burrowing into my with fury, and I don't forget to notice the gun in his hand pointed at my head. I take another warm sip from my cup, not breaking eye contact. 

“Good morning, I see the assassins have failed,” I say calmly. 

“Yeah, thanks for that little present at three o'clock in the morning,” Phil, my ex, says, his tone obviously unamused. 

“I thought it might be, figured I'd keep you on your toes. Wouldn't want your skills going dull now would we?” I say smirking at him. 

“Be careful with how arrogant you get, I'm the one with the gun in your face,” he growls. 

“We both know you wouldn’t shoot me,” I say taking a step towards him.

"I'll love you even when I shouldn't"

Jisoo gripped her gun tightly as she pointed it out to her lover. Chaeyoung was dazed, and couldn't move as she stared at Jisoo pointing her gun at her. Everything happened so fast that Chaeyoung had lost her words. Jisoo's eyes showed nothing but coldness, sternity, and, most importantly, certainness to shoot her at where she stood.

Chaeyoung didn't say anything, but when she tried to move one step towards the raven, she saw how Jisoo flinched, adjusting to her position as she pointed the gun at her. "Don't move, Park!"

It took a lot of seconds for Chaeyoung to respond, but when she did, Jisoo could feel her heart crumbling down like a landslide.

"... baby, what are you doing?" Chaeyoung stammered, stunned.

Jisoo didn't say anything, but when she saw how Chaeyoung attempted to move once again, she yelled at her. Chaeyoung flinched. Jisoo had never yelled at her until now. "I said don't move or I'll shoot you down in instant!"

Jisoo knew she couldn't shoot Chaeyoung down, but she hoped Chaeyoung wouldn't cross the line for Jisoo to actually attempt to shoot her down just to stop her in her position.

"Is this a prank you're trying to pull, baby? Okay, fine, you got me. Let's stop now." said Chaeyoung, who laughed softly and attempted to move, but when she saw how Jisoo's finger moved to the trigger, she stopped.

"Don't make me do it, Roseanne," muttered Jisoo, who eyed the blonde with certainty.

Chaeyoung realized it. Jisoo was still pointing her gun, her eyes filled with a determination to shoot despite the heavy feeling in her heart and stomach. Nobody dared to speak, but Jisoo could see how Chaeyoung's face had flipped up.

"So you were just fooling me all along, huh?" asked Chaeyoung, her voice cracking at the end.

Jisoo didn't respond, but the silence was enough for Chaeyoung to feel her world crumbling down before her. Chaeyoung's stomach twisted, her heart filled with a feeling called pain, but she didn't show it. She didn't dare to show it to Jisoo. She refuses to give her satisfaction, but every second has passed. Chaeyoung felt suffocated, betrayed, and confused.

The pain was too much, too much that it overwhelmed the mask Chaeyoung was wearing and Chaeyoung knew right there that she was at a loss in this unexpected situation.

Jisoo still didn't speak. According to the file she had read from the beginning of her mission, Chaeyoung was a natural fighter and had beaten tons of people during her escaped and prison era. So, leaving her critical vital points in open space in front of the enemy, she had expected at least Chaeyoung to switch the position they were in and steal the gun from her grip. Or maybe knock her up to lose her consciousness. Or to swear vengeance and promise to come for her in the future. Or maybe she saw it coming and already had a plan in place to back her up.

But she didn't. Chaeyoung didn't. All Chaeyoung did was stare at Jisoo silently in the eyes. Chaeyoung didn't say anything, but Jisoo could pinpoint and understand what she was feeling right now. She looked like a puppy, a sad, kicked puppy, and the wall Jisoo had built for this moment crumbled in a split second.

So fragile, but she doesn't show. This was a crime and Jisoo wouldn't let her heart take over. Not now, because she wasn't here to love a criminal. She was here to apprehend a criminal, and this was the moment she had been waiting for. Jisoo refused to let her heart take the wheel and make a mistake; instead, she trusted her brain, and this was its choice.

"... So none of it was real, then?" asked Chaeyoung. Her voice was cracking, and Jisoo knew she was tearing up.

Jisoo shifted their weight, masking the pain, as she smirked at Chaeyoung, still pinpointing the gun. She scoffed, shifting her gaze away as she couldn't let her heart win the battle if her stare lingered on Chaeyoung. "Of course not. I am an investigator, a head in your case, a hero, and you. You are a criminal, an infamous one, a villain. I could never love you, Chaeyoung."

"If you couldn't love me, then why wouldn't you look at me in the eyes and say it?" snapped Chaeyoung.

Jisoo gulped, forcing the lump bottled with pain in her throat. Pushing it down below in her stomach forcely, eating it up as she looked at Chaeyoung in the eyes, but regretted it immediately.

"I love you, Jisoo," said Chaeyoung, who stared at her dreamily and tucked the raven's loose strands of hair into her ears.

"I love you and I will always do." Chaeyoung repeated it and Jisoo melted away.

"I love you too, Chaeyoung," said Jisoo, who reached out to cup Chaeyoung's cheeks in her palms.

"I love you too, munchkin," said Jisoo, who smiled immediately when she saw how Chaeyoung softly laughed and shoved her away to hide her flushed cheeks.

"So cheesy, Kim. You're so corny."

"You like it."

"The back-up will be coming in five minutes. Hang in there, Investigator Kim!" said the small earphone in Jisoo's ear, but Jisoo wasn't listening.

"If you couldn't love me, then why wouldn't you look at me in the eyes and say it?" Chaeyoung repeated, her voice a little bit quieter in hope, but it was shattered in an instant when Jisoo spoke and stared back at her.

"Everything was fake. I could never love you, Chaeyoung," said Jisoo, whose eyes were filled with coldness.

Chaeyoung used to get lost in those eyes, but she knew she'd die if she stayed any longer in those dense eyes.

"Liar," said Chaeyoung quietly under her breath and looked down.

And Jisoo had heard it, but she didn't say anything while she pointed her gun at her.

There was a brief silence between them. Then, very slowly, Chaeyoung looked up, and just when Jisoo thought crumbling her heart down on the floor was enough pain, she felt her heart get stepped down by thousands of people, her heart pieces slowly turning from pieces to dust.

Chaeyoung looked at her, depressed, in pain, and helpless.

"I'm supposed to be the villainous one, but that, that was truly evil, Jisoo."

And before Jisoo could say anything back, There was a loud sound coming from outside of their home and Jisoo could tell they had finally arrived. The back-up team had arrived to arrest and take away the woman she had loved so much.

"COME OUTSIDE AND PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM! I REPEAT, COME OUTSIDE AND PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM!"

There was already a commotion outside of their house. Loud sirens has been echoing around the block. And Jisoo has two choices to make at this moment: follow her heart and runaway with Chaeyoung at this moment or follow her brain, surrender and do the right thing.

It was hard and it was never easy to know which one to choose. Jisoo was tempted, but she knew she had to do the right thing.

"I'm sorry, Chaeyoung," Jisoo said, still pointing the gun at Chaeyoung.

"I'm sorry... but I have to do this."

hi! i've read a fic a while ago and forgot to save it. it was one of my favs and i really really want to find it. im pretty sure it was on ao3. charles was erik's telepath and erik went to a mission with him. shaw knew that there was a telepath and then charles got shot. azazel transported erik away bc he was more important but erik refused and they went back. they tried not to move charles and i think logan helped too. i hope you've read this. thanks in advance xxx
