Nine generations ago, the island of Betony was conquered by the Stonetooth Orcs, who renamed it Betnikh. A proud, self-reliant people, the Orcs fiercely protect their new home from incursion by outsiders.

Forven and Tuotan'ka enjoy their victory

Forven tries to find some Sujamma, or at least some Shein, to celebrate vanquishing the Ayleid Relic into the spirit realm, but he isn't able to find any Dunmer imports on the Orc island of Betnikh. Tuotan'ka doesn't really drink, which Forven simply does not understand.

As the two enjoy a moment before the ship ride to Glenumbra, Tuotan'ka confides that he left home, in part, because a childhood friend of his wanted to marry him and their families were quite close, but he tells Forven that he isn't attracted to women. He tells Forven that he struck out in his own to make his own way in the world, to be with a man he loved rather than with a woman out of duty.

Forven tells him that he understands wanting to embark on your own path.
