Hi! So I have a problem and I need help. My female betta suddenly has a large white lump on her side. It looked like a bulge from overfeeding at first, so I fasted her for two days. It got bigger. She's dark blue, and the lump is stark white. I've quarantined her out of fear that it's an abscess. I can send pics if needed, but I really need help in identifying what this is. She's in a divided tank with another betta and I don't want this to spread to him.

The first thing i think about when i hear white and lump is a tumor or abcess of some sort…a picture would definitely help! If you could message me one (to add to this post) or reblog this post with a pic, itd be a big help for sure :) I’m not super experienced with stuff like this, so if anyone else has any input, please share!

Is there anything that causes betta fins to lose pigmemt?

Originaly i thouggt maybe it real early fin rot since his tank had skipped a cleaning i think

But some searching isnt bringing that up as a rot symptom

I now the root of his fins are mentt to be pale n white cause well they always are but i cant remember the tips bing so white. Translucent yes. White im uncertain of. Especialy since the white end on his dangly bits (idk what their name is the ones that females dont have) seems to be at an odd angle from the rest of that fin amd its matching fin.

Opal in the old 5.5 gallon, she's being v defensive in it trying to fight her reflection and the baby snails when they move and she sees them but she seems a lot happier than being in the little cup I can't wait to see how vibrant she gets later on We're gonna see if we can't get her a couple more decorations

We’re gonna move my betta baby leviathan into the 30 gallon bow front, we decided that would be better than getting two axolotls

Mom absolutely loves the 38 gal bow front and has always objected me getting Leviathan a bigger tank(he has a 5.5 but I wanna get him a 10 at the most) but she says if I can find a bow front like the large tank I have she'll defiantly let me get it Good thing I found some

I wanna put a plant in with my betta that floats on the surface, im thinking of duckweed  but is there anything else you can suggest?
