Bob Harper's Air-Fried French Fries are a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried fries. They come out crispy and delicious with a fraction of the oil, making them perfect for guilt-free snacking.
Ingredients: 4 large russet potatoes. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt to taste. Optional seasonings e.g., paprika, garlic powder, rosemary. Cooking spray.
Instructions: Before you make the french fries, wash and peel the potatoes and cut them into even-sized pieces. Put the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for 30 minutes. This will get rid of any extra starch. Use a paper towel to dry them off after you drain them. For 5 minutes, heat your air fryer up to 400F 200C. Put the dried potato strips in a large bowl. Add the olive oil and season with salt and any other spices you like. Spray cooking spray on the air fryer basket just enough to keep food from sticking. Make sure the potato strips are not crowded when you put them in the air fryer basket. If your air fryer is small, you might have to cook things one at a time. For 15 to 20 minutes, at 400F 200C, air fry the potato strips, shaking the basket or flipping the fries every so often, until they are golden brown and crispy. Take the air-fried french fries out of the basket and let them drain on a paper towel to get rid of any extra oil. If you think they need more salt, add it now. Enjoy your guilt-free air-fried french fries while they're still hot!
