Release Date: June 17, 2022 The Brooklyn-based band Between Giants has caught my attention recently with a beautiful DIY sound and an indie / dream pop track called 'Peppermint'. The song was released back in June, and all I know is that I'm absolutely loving the analogue synthesizer arpeggios in the mix. It's like listening to a long forgotten cassette after many years. The song also features warm vocals, amazing wah-wah guitars, and some sophisticated drum work. A fantastic retro pop tune with a slightly psychedelic feel to it. Give it a shot! Between Giants Collaborates With Kalimur On Breezy New Single "Nevermind"

Between Giants, a pop rock act from New York, fronted by lone member Tyler John, has released the lead single titled “Nevermind,” from their upcoming record Jupiter, set to be released this summer. Starting in March of 2017, John decided to break away on his own after leaving his band Kalimur, which makes an appearance on “Nevermind.” Sounding like a breeze, with dreamy guitars and luscious vocals from John, the tempo is a cross between mid tempo and a slow ballad, where a balance is struck by including two separate musical groups on the track, bridging together different styles and flavors, and past and present.

SONG PICK: Between Giants - Skies & Skin

With his solo project as Between Giants, John Tyler has released a five tracks EP a couple of months ago. “Skies & Skin” is on this EP and it is gorgeous! The electro-pop artist says about his sound:

I wanted to create a sound that was fresh, unique, and dynamic and with this project I believe I have done just that.

There is in deed something very sweet and fragile to “Skies & Skin” with simultaneously heavy, earthy undertones, creating something truly beautiful. “Skies & Skin” is our Song Pick of the Day:

Mondo.NYC festival put the artist on our map but we ultimately missed him. This being New York, there should be another chance though.
