Ohhhh my goooodddddddddd I love their fucked up convoluted relationship and the presence Stratt has through the entire story she's probably my favourite character?? And she isn't one to flinch at a hard decision but who does she summon when she needs to assure herself? That's right, the guy who she's secretly training as a backup for a suicide mission. And she's right about him, he IS too good to doom Earth and he IS too cowardly to save Earth, and so she gives him the very forceful push he needs, he has already shown that he believes in the necessity of it all he needs is a firm hand to hold him in place until all other choices fall away

hello monse!!!! i did not know this about you but im excited that i now do know it!!!

ok so the idea behind stydia gear shifts fic is like. telling the story of a relationship using the gear shifts in a stick shift car as like, milestones in a way. this is even sexier because stiles's jeep is a stick shift, and as we all know i am obsessed with stick shifts in general. so here's what i have as i guess my "outline" of sorts

as you can see it also lends itself neatly to being a 5+1, which is my favorite type of fic to brainstorm. so far ive only written part 1 (neutral gear) and i have a vague idea of what part 2 (first gear) is gonna look like, but i feel like those are kinda the hardest ones, bc part 1 is pre-canon while the rest is going to be during canon. also, it's stiles's pov, which is always fun because he's a funny little dude. here is some of this one:

Lydia finishes fixing her lipstick in her locker mirror and slams it shut. She struts down the hallway in their direction and Stiles scrambles to find a less incriminating place to look. It doesn’t end up mattering; she walks right past them without so much as a glance and meets Jackson approaching from the other end of the hall, and they kiss. Right there. In front of God and country and Stiles.
