self-indulgent dooble of the bastard man. I haven’t updated Between-world Rann’s design in forever so he’s still vaguely Like That.
but it was fun to draw.
(my problem with continuing the development of the new take is that i don’t have a good idea for how to skip over boring stuff n get to actually making interesting things)
Holy shit!!! Thank you guys so much for 102 Followers!!! Y'all are awesome.
in other news; i am debating on pumping out three chapters a week. I have an outline for nine chapters, and i dont know if i should spam out the stories because i started to think that if i just through them all, ill loose creativity. im currently working on chapter three which takes play on kyoshi island, so its gonna be way more angsty than chapter two. I may split it into two parts, deepening on how i feel. also sorry if these have a lot of run on sentances, i just want to get as much detail as i can out there and this is my frist time writing. Thank you so much for the support!
The passive gods attract active ones near them as the dumber ones try to assault their armor and the smarter ones prey on the dumb ones in turn. Rather than being evenly separated, the beings and materials in the void become more clustered.
A-group passives cultivate debris fields around themselves, either of their own making or using the remains of others.
B-group passives take to emitting various energies, some of which include light. Stars of some kind.
Having a think about the Between worldbuild again. Might go with a different route on the whole thing, just kinda import characters into appropriate spots. but for now im just doobling.
More rambling after the cut.
A and B are equivalent. Neither is good or bad. Neither is destructive. It’s just a pair of equally powerful creative forces battling themselves into literal pieces that then sprout into more gods, each with a somewhat narrower focus and more refined functionality. (like instead of being ‘practically everything’ with the functionality of ‘i kill this other thing’, it’s ‘1/8th of everything with some stipulation’ and like ‘look at things and maybe kill other thing?’)
It’s a long evolution of gods just fighting and splitting themselves apart or recombining before any kind of stable world comes about.
I haven’t yet thought what separates A and B group gods, but i’ve got some ideas:
-gods of each group could only recombine with gods of the same group. Or vice versa.
-gods can combine regardless, but the combination of an A and B god is a very different result than a homogenous combination.
also perhaps there’s eventually some difference in the kind of things they are gods of, but im not sure how to split it and if I want to. nyah.
As the early gods fight, they sometimes survive grievous injuries. While recovering, these gods alter their bodies around those wounds, usually modifying it to inflict the same kind of damage on their enemies.
Their world is still a void, though there is now some debris from the numerous fights and the remains of the gods that weren’t fully eaten.
(edit: if you saw this multiple times in your dash, im sorry. there’s something messed with the post that i tried to fix.)
