"and i told the consultant that i don't think i'm a spring neutral at all, but she was convinced that i was!" getting a personal color analysis was something jueun was always interested in, but she didn't love the results of her last visit, so she had been contemplating going to a different place.

however, she wanted a second opinion. it wasn't a cheap activity, and jueun thinks she already knows what looks good on her, so was it worth going somewhere and getting told something she already knows?

"i mean, don't i look cool-toned to you? i always thought i looked best in such colors." having worked at olive young, jueun wasn't a professional, but she liked to think she had a good understanding of colors and how they worked on people. "what do you think? should i go somewhere else? ugh, i found them on instagram and thought they'd be good, but the customer service sucked, too."

sua won't lie-- she's a little tipsy, but so what? she's made it through three months of her probationary, and sure-- she's in this weird period waiting on them to decide if they want her to continue, but she made it! celebrations are in order, even if it's knocking back drinks and giggling with ria in her room.

"hey, do you want to play a game?" sua asks ria suddenly, leaning forward with a mischievous grin on her face. "we could play...mm, what, twenty-one questions? any questions you don't want to answer you take a shot." she gestures to the half drank bottles of soju in front of them. "or if you wanna up the stakes, we could do truth or dare." sua's grin twists into something cheeky, maybe impish. "i promise i'll go easy on you if you choose dare." well, as easy as sua can manage. she has to do something fun, and if she shakes things up a bit-- she's got to get a kick out of it.

a fruity disaster

summer was such a refreshing time, all the food and drinks. ria had probably dragged her brother along to get ice cream and iced tea a million times by now. and she would’ve dragged him along today too had he not been too busy. it felt a bit weird how she expected they would have more time to spend together once he finally graduated, but now he had graduated and he was still busy. her brother was too busy today, and so were her friends, ria could’ve just spent the day inside, but with the nice weather, she wanted to do something.

so she’d put on a nice outfit, styled her hair and did her make up and out she went. ria wasn’t sure where to go, so she just wandered around for a bit until she saw a smoothie shop. generally, ria wasn’t used to pay for anything herself, not that her family is rich, her family just spoils her like hell. she digs into her bag and finds her purse, yep, there’s definitely enough for a smoothie. and so ria steps into the shop, looking at the menu for a while before deciding on a banana-pear smoothie. she goes up and orders, pays and waits, and once it arrives a wide smile shows up on her lips. she takes it, turns around and bam! she turns right into someone, spilling her smoothie everywhere. “my smoothie” she says, the tears already pressing on.

yuji's observant, or she'd like to believe. she listens a lot, quiet and thoughtful-- and she's learned through dealing with her father and his range of emotions at a young age to observe and keep out for changes in facial expressions. sometimes expressions tell a whole story, give you an answer.

yuji's in the middle of recounting a story about a stray she found on the street last week, recalling the events with accuracy even if half of her attention is on ria and her red face turning more and more red with each passing moment.

"...and she loved the treats. i saw her waiting in the same spot the other night. i think she knows my schedule at this point." yuji finishes up her thought, pursing her lips.

"um, ria," she starts, hesitant. it could just be the cold-- the weather frigid and unforgiving today. yuji's own face is likely pinkened by the weather, her nose red, as it tends to do. "do you feel okay? are you warm enough?" the two of them had just gotten drinks, yuji's own hot cocoa warm against her palm.

stevie misses the ocean. especially now that he's a trainee-- having time to drive out to the beach is scarce. in winter too, it'll be months before he has time to be able to dedicate to it. it saddens stevie a bit. he's born for the beach, for the ocean and the creatures.

what's the expression people use sometimes...raised by wolves? well, in stevie's case he feels raised by the sea. as a kid, he'd shove a bunch of sea and deep ocean facts in his brain through any kind of magazine or fun book he could. when books started to bore him, he found videos and documentaries instead.

"did you know an octopus has three hearts?" stevie whisper-asks towards ria, not taking his eyes off the creature behind the glass. he can't look away, looking at the section cups tethered to the glass near them. "and one of them stops beating when they swim. that's why they kinda move all...slow like."

time to time, luciel spares a little portion of his day to reading, even if it’s just one chapter these days from his trainee life. it’s a little unfortunate he’s spending lesser time on reading, and his busy schedule makes him realise how quickly time passes when he’s sucked into reading. so he has to set up an alarm to remind him that he needs to continue with the rest of his schedule.

a while ago, luciel would dedicate more time to reading on sundays, but with the debut project, he’s been doing that even lesser. though, this time on the way to the company building, he drops by the bookstore. it’s not a huge one, nor does he goes here often, but the those slightly musty whiffs of books is enough for him.

he prefers the literature section, but unfortunately the section here is pretty small, he’s gone through most of the titles here already. luciel ends up picking a title he’s read before, skimming through the pages, slowly remembering what’s the book about. he gets sucked into the world for a while, almost does not realise there was another girl looking around too. thinking the girl wanted the book, he closes it, extends it to her, “did you wanted this?”

BREAK THE ICE : @bexria

as it turns out, controlling a pair of ice skates is a lot harder than controlling a car.

“on your left, on your left —” a streak of blonde flies past an unsuspecting couple, accompanied by a quick MY BAD! he has half a mind to turn back around to check on them, but there are bigger problems ahead. “whoa, whoa, WHOA!”

hansol catches himself on the rails, his breath knocked right out with a puff of air. and of course, all of this happens right beside the cutest girl he’s seen today.

his demeanor switches with a blink of an eye. hansol spins himself around and leans back against the rails, chill. “hey, sweetheart.” he breaks into his most charming grin, totally ignoring the fact that he almost singlehandedly produced the second season of crash landing on you. “you come here often?”

yuji tilts her head to the side, watching ria finish tying the laces on her skates with a hum. she stands on her own pair, hand gripping the handrail carefully as she gets her footing in order. she slides over carefully, extending a hand out for the other girl to grab.

"here," she offers quietly, a small smile on her face. getting up and on the ice always feels a little daunting. yuji herself hasn't been in some time, so it felt a bit like a chore to finally get her so called ice feet in gear.

"you've tried it before at least once, right?" yuji asks, glancing over at the ice. it's not going to be an awful experience even if it is ria's first time, but she'd like to know what she's working with, at least. "once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad."
