Not to bash on the Zero-G anime (I liked it) but the manga version is so much better.

There's Kyouya, annoyed by Daidouji and Ginga! Ginga isn't trapped! Kenta dresses up as a super hero! Sakyou sparkles!

(The last point is very important for me, okay XD)

But, most important:

Ginga isn't alone.

Kyouya travels with Ginga to help him. Kenta gets annoyed at him, calling him a "traitor" for not warning him he's back. They're still friends, counting on each other.

The manga: Ginga starts his journey alone, but he stops being alone thanks to his friends. They don't drift apart even seven years later, when they all have their own plans (Ginga fighting Daidouji, Kyouya working at the TC, Kenta intending college).

The anime: Ginga starts his journey alone… and, seven years later, he's alone in the wilderness. Sure, they show him with his old friends in the very end, but there's no banter or teasing. There's no help when he's fighting or got trapped. They're just standing next to each others.
