spooky first meeting

hard to believe now, but there’d been a time where ria was shy, where the only people she spent time with was her family. it was like that a while ago, but was now nowhere like that, it’d all changed once she moved to korea. she hadn’t exactly been treated well by her classmates in canada, so she’d been quick to become a loner, originally she had expected that it would be the same once she moved to korea, but it had not been. being treated her well had made her come out of her shell, and now she was social, befriending anyone she came across.

the closest friends were mainly from the high school she went to or the school she went to now, but she had lots of friends beside that, making friends anywhere she went. this friendship was a bit different, as they’d never met before. when ria wasn’t with her friends, she was often online, enjoying a bunch of different social medias, and that was where she had met yeseul, the two connecting and finally deciding to meet.

she waits for the other to show up, dressed as a princess covered in blood for the occasion, it’s not often she gets to dress up. she’s about to text the other for her location when she spots her in the crowd “yeseul!” she yells out to the other, waving and a smile on her lips.

maybe it's the need to change something up in her life that leaves her to filtering through various v-tuber models, curiosity propelling her forward. sua doesn't mind not using facecam or using it, but chat's been annoying unbearable about it lately. they like it when she shows her face, and while sua appreciates the fact that people like to look at her, it also opens up a whole other can of worms alongside the flattery. stuff she has no patience to deal with.

"so like...does it ever glitch out?" sua calls out to yeseul through the microphone, leaning back in her chair as she clicks around. her eyes move across the screen curiously. "and end up turning off in the middle of you using it?" if sua has to start planning to make herself look presentable in the case it does, would it defeat the purpose?

the world of v-tubing doesn't seem like it would be that difficult, but sua's been proven wrong before. at least yeseul has some idea on the matter. "do you have to be a person? or can i draw like, a cute rat and it'll work the same way?"

maybe, from time to time, joomi is a little devious. it's rare, but occasionally...it can be fun.

poor yeseul should not be his target. she is quite fragile and nervous and also so new to the trainee landscape as a whole – throwing her to the wolves would be cruel. but she won't be going to the wolves on her own! joomi will be there to protect her!

that's his goal, anyway, during the part of the night allocated to trick or treating, of all things. honestly, joomi himself is not the most comfortable with their seniors, but he is starting to feel like a senior (citizen...) himself these days, and it makes this whole ordeal easier.

yeseul has been following him around for a little while now, and joomi honestly doesn't mind. he likes helping the new trainees, especially if he already knew them beforehand, like he did with yeseul. he's really glad she's part of delta, and he's happy to hang out with her whenever she'd like.

maybe he is betraying her trust, but he kind of thinks forcing yeseul out there could be good for her – in moderation, anyway.

"yeseul, who would you say your favorie axis labels artist is? do you have any biases?" it feels like such strange language to use, for a guy that didn't know shit about kpop at this point two years ago. times and lives sure do change.
