really in love with the dynamics happening in this book and emiles character. all the intimacy happening between people who not too long ago didnt give a shit about each other, because what else can they do. the love triangle going on of Little Gay Boy Emile whos desperately in love with this beautiful boy he just met, who is absolutely into him and tameka as well, meanwhile tameka has appointed herself emiles mean older sister while he longs for her affection because he is a Kid. theyre all kids theyre kids and they love each other so much. benny feeling absolutely awful and responsible for all of them because shes just like that but even more so because they were under her jurisdiction when this started ...... and the whole complexity of these outsiders trying to solve a problem that is incredibly real and pressing to them while the ursulans blame their fixation with 'belonging' and 'owning' and hierarchy for the whole situation... so tastey
