PINTEREST! Are you like me? Constantly pinning and pinning but tending to never go back to your boards that have been so lovingly built? Well no more! Going #beyondthepin is an exercise I’ve started by using the hundreds of art reference photographs I’ve pinned - like actually using them! The spread above was taken of my sketchbook showing an example - I chose 5 pins from the @kristyat_pickleania Pinterest board titled ‘Art Ref - The Humans’ and sketched them out - sometimes exactly as they are, sometimes only using as a loose reference. This is a great exercise when you have #artblock or a lack of #inspiration OR as a #drawingwarmup before you get to good stuff.
