As much as I love macheresin fics, there is just something so fulfilling about Javy and Jake bestie fics. Javy seeing that obnoxious asshole and slowly drawing out his human emotions. Being the only person who sees Jake.

Javy knew there was something special about Jake Seresin, something lovable, something redeemable, something valuable. He knew if he earned Jake’s trust and friendship (brotherhood) that he would have him for life.

I feel like Jake and Javy are the Mav and Goose of TGM, and I think Jake would be uncle to Javy’s kids, hugging up on Javy’s wife just like Mav and Carole. Maybe they’re also a little more like Ice and Slider but those are two sides of the same coin. They come as a unit and whoever they end up with has to accept that.

(Rooster has to grovel a bit more to Javy because of how bad he hurt Jake in the past)
