"Enjoying a stroll through the Mahalo sanctuary while keeping an eye out for any wild Pokémon in trouble, you think to yourself it couldn't be a better day to walk around. However, your styler suddenly warns you of an incoming voicemail direct from Maylea, asking you to return to the Unity Base. Time to put that walk on hold.
Knocking at the door of Maylea's office, the leader invites you in. Standing next to Maylea is Cheri, Diamond City's base leader. You notice in her posture and gaze that she looks rather annoyed and you wonder what could have raised this woman's ire.
"Thanks for answering my call so quick, Amelia. I'll cut to the chase, Cheri here has requested reinforcement from our base. I'll leave it to her to explain the details to you." Maylea gives a nod to Cheri, who doesn't waste a moment to speak.
"Robinson, my Rangers are all currently occupied and Daven filed a task with us that I can't ignore lest the situation worsen further than it already has. I tried asking elsewhere but couldn't get results from them, unfortunately, when Maylea mentioned your name. If you're ready, I'll send you there immediately."
Curiosity gets the better of you and you ask to see the file detailing the situation. She nods, and pushes your way a folder that has been sitting on the desk.
"I hope you'll be able to deal with it swiftly and efficiently. Here's the deal: Someone has been hounding the Pokémon kept at Dragon's Rest Ranch. Daven and Ty, and Ty's staff, all have their hands full trying to keep the Trainer's 'mons from panicking that they can't head out and find the culprits. Considering you've been around the Ohana Islands for a while now, I'm sure you'll be able to find your way to the ranch and check its surroundings. Ask them if you want more details, they'll be happy to give you more information."
"Get some solid progress on the problem and I'll be happy to recommend you for a Rank Up. Now get to it." Placing a hand on your shoulder, she then takes her leave of Maylea's office to deal with other matters, leaving you alone with your leader.
"She's not in a good mood, and it doesn't help that it's Daven asking for help. A failure will reflect badly on both our bases here, so I'm counting on you, Amelia." Maylea sees you off with a smile, confident in your ability to succeed despite her warning."
