Some additional real talk about my disorder. The NAC I take helps with the pulling, but doesn't completely stop it. As I said before, it helps me be more aware and able to stop myself, but it happens. The reason for this additional post is a result of my mom asking me if I has been pulling recently because of how thin a spot was on my head. This was because of the way my hair had been on my head, not completely swept over like it usually is. Anyhow, NAC helps with the new hair, and with some other mental issues, but I have been pulling since I was in the 6th grade and I graduated high school in 1999. So there is a lot of follicle damage. So the last photo here is a view from the top with my hair brushed down away from the top. Lots of damage and very thin. So don't be discouraged if it doesn't all come back. I am happy because I have control of the disorder for the first time. Even if that means I still pull a little.
