she’s the apocalypse’s very own angel with her sunlight for hair and oceanic eyes. whether she noticed it or not, nick knows that everyone at the prison would have his head mounted on a wall should anything happen to their little songbird. he’d kept his distance since he arrived, not wanting to draw attention or cause trouble, especially once his mother blabbered about his troubles, but beth didn’t let that deter her from volunteering in aiding him on a run. the prison needed more supplies and formula for judith, however, with the governor and his crazy ass people at war with rick’s people, it became dangerous. nick was a newcomer and therefore no one would think he’d be aligning himself with officer friendly’s group. everything was going great --- until nick begins to think about how beth’s life was in his hands. she was his responsibility and it scared him. ❝ i don’t mean to sound like some ungrateful asshole, but why did you choose to come with me? everyone else keep their distance.❞
