Acorn: What would your character do if they lived forever?

Azalea: Who does your character wish would take better care of themselves?
Baekhyun is pretty protective over all of his friends, and even those who are not. He will always find something to fret over, whether he does so openly or not. It could be something so small as the person not eating breakfast that morning, and his concern only gets worse depending on how bad the problem—real or imaginitve—is.
Bay leaf: What gives your character strength?
There are many things that can give Baekhyun strength. Most often, encouragement from those he cares about really helps him out when he’s feeling down. He relies heavily on his friends, and expects them to do the same for him.
However, Baekhyun has not always had strong bonds with people, and so such a thing was not present until around the time he moved to another country. Something that has, and still does, give him strength would be music. Whether he is singing it or just listening to it, music has always been capable of motivating him, and lifting his spirits when he is at his lowest. When his friends are nowhere near, or he feels that he cannot talk to them about a particular trouble, he uses music as his means to escape.
Briony: What’s one time your character has helped a friend?
There are several instances in which Baekhyun has helped a friend, or even strangers. He is very kind-hearted, and eager to help people who need it, and so this is not a rare occurrence. It would be difficult to pinpoint a single occasion.
Cattail: Is your character at peace with themself? Why or why not?
Baekhyun still has many things about himself that he questions, his occupation being number one on that list. He questions a lot of his decisions more than he will allow to be known, and judges himself much more harshly than he would with somebody else.
Especially considering the incident with his mother, it would be safe to say that no, he is not at peace with himself.
Cyclamen: Who is someone your character has had to say good-bye to?
Though Baekhyun felt that he had not made many real connections in his later years of living in Japan, it was actually very difficult for him to say goodbye to the members of the gang he had affiliated himself with back then. Though he wasn’t particularly close to any one person, he considered them friends.
Daffodil: Has your character ever had unrequited love for someone? Have they ever loved someone but held it in for any reason?
Baekhyun has yet to experience unrequited love, or any sort of romantic love, to be exact. He has felt love for his friends, and a love that seems more familial, but nothing more.

Edelweiss: Describe a time your character has had to be brave.
Any time that he has to find dirt on somebody for a job, he feels that he is being much braver than he truly is. He gets very nervous, and sometimes very scared depending on who he is tracking down, or who he has to speak to in order to obtain certain information. However, despite this he is able to keep up a strong, unfazed front, and get through the task in a speedy manner.
Eglantine: Has your character ever had a wound or pain that didn’t heal?
As far as emotional pain goes, his mother’s death takes the number one slot. Nothing has and nothing ever will hurt him as much as that did, and still does to this day.

He does not.

Baekhyun actually lies quite often, but only when it comes to his work, and sometimes his sleeping (or lack thereof) habits.
Geranium: What’s one mistake your character remembers making?
Off the top of his head, Baekhyun would probably recall a time when he was younger, in kindergarten. He would boast about abilities that no child his age could possess, “prodigy” or not—this was, of course, before it had been instilled in the boy to be a more modest person. One particular thing that he would brag about would be his ability to hop from one small piller (that at the time was even a bit taller than him) to another without losing his balance. It hadn’t dawned on him that the dubious classmates would want to actually see this claim in action, and so it was no surprise that he had been hesitant upon being told to actually do it. However, he was, at the time, a very prideful boy, and so he put up a confident front and strode out onto the playground without a worry. He said he could do it, and so obviously he could, right? Wrong. He barely managed to climb onto the first pillar, and even then he lost his balance several times, earning the laughter of his classmates. When he jumped, he lost his footing, and ended up falling to the ground and cutting his knee on a thick piece of woodchip. He still has a small scar from the incident, and every time he sees it he is reminded of the event, and how he had been scolded harshly by his parents when he returned home that day.
Gladiolus: What’s one time your character has stuck to their morals and convictions?
Just recently, Baekhyun was offered a high-paying job. In order to be paid, however, he would have to rat out someone that he had considered a friend from Japan. Though he was well aware that turning down the offer would anger the customer, he valued his former acquaintence’s safety over his own, and thus refused to do so. He has yet to hear back from the man, but he is very nervous about his reaction.
Honeysuckle: Who does your character love like family?
There is not one particular person that he loves like family that he could name. In a way, all of his friends are like family to him.
Heather: Who is someone your character wants to protect?
Just as the last answer pointed out, Baekhyun considers all of his friends as family. He is particularly protective of this “family”, meaning that anyone has formed a bond with him is someone that he wishes to keep safe however he can.
Ivy: Has your character ever thought about getting married? Would they like it?
Marriage has never been something that Baekhyun’s thought of. Because he is unfamiliar with romantic love, it’s no surprise that it hasn’t crossed his mind.
From the mun’s perspective, I think that he would like being married to someone, but it would not be something that he found necessary. If he and that other person are in love, that’s all that would be needed.
Iris: If your character could send one person a message, who and what would it be?

Baekhyun is the type to find at least one thing in every person to admire, and more often than not it is something other than their outward appearance (though he also admires that, in a more literal sense). One thing that he is especially fond of would be honesty. If someone is honest with him, he will definitely put them on high regard, and respect them a lot more than he would someone who has lied to him a lot.
Kalanchoe: Is your character well-liked by their friends?
He (and I as well) is not sure, but he would like to think that he is well-liked. He tries hard to keep their spirits up when he is around, and frequently checks up on them to see how they are. He cares for and very much likes those he considers his friends, and he can only hope that they think of him the same way.
Laurel: If your character could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?
If asked this directly, Baekhyun would probably give a simple, humble answer. Something along the lines of wanting to be remembered as a kind person. And, as ridiculous and plain as that may sound, this is a genuine response. If he were younger, perhaps he would crave recognition for something huge, something amazing, but now he would be entirely content knowing that others remembered him as someone who is kind.
Love-lies-bleeding: Has your character ever done something even though they didn’t want to?
It is sort of a job requirement for him to do so. Though Baekhyun is nosy, he doesn’t like to pry too much, and he knows what his limits are in social situations, and yet he is particularly talented at just that—digging deep into the minds of those he needs to, getting their most private information and, in some cases, using it against them. He hates to take advantage of his trusting nature, but if he has agreed to do a job it is unavoidable.
Marigold: Describe a time or reason your character felt jealousy.
Baekhyun does not like to express his jealousy, even if he feels it more often than he should. Even over trivial things, he can be very possessive, and when he feels like something of his is being taken, or a position of his is being threatened, that feeling only amplifies.
One time in particular would be when a very close friend of his revealed to have gone out drinking when under a lot of stress. In doing so, he’d also been exposed to near sexual acts, and Baekhyun did not like that. His jealousy was not brought on by any sort of romantic feelings that he had for him. Rather, he was jealous of the alcohol, of how instead of thinking to come to him for help, he chose something toxic, something dangerous that led him to do things that were even more dangerous.
Moonflower: What’s one dream your character has had?
On the rare occasions that Baekhyun actually does sleep, he either doesn’t dream at all—a preference of his—or he is thrown back into the traumatic scenes of his mother’s death, in which he can only stand and watch, unable to speak or move. Now that he is older he has come up with several ways that he could have saved her, and it kills him that he can’t even do those things in his dreams.

That whether he wants to face it or not, his family is gone, and there is nothing that he can do to change that.

There is no such person. Baekhyun is able to find something likable about even the most unpleasant of people.

He feels as if forgetting just one little thing would change his perspective on his own life, and that is something that he does not wish to do.

More recently, Jongin. To Baekhyun, Jongin’s personality is probably the exact opposite of what he can tolerate, and yet he has honestly grown quite fond of him despite the frequent flirting and sexual comments.

There are several things. To name one… That Korea has its problems (political, environmental, etc.) just like any other country, despite the way that foreigners like to think.

A part of Baekhyun is always hopeful. Whether it is hope for a good day, or hope for someone else’s safety or success.

He has not, therefore he is not.

In his pre-teen years, Baekhyun had been especially irritable. Because he dwelled too much on past events, he didn’t bother to sympathize with those around him, and would be quick to snap at them or insult them. Now, he regrets his behavior, and tries to make up for it with overflowing kindness.

He would wish to rid everyone of their stress for at least one day, so that they could be at peace with themselves and others and know how good it feels.

His past. Quite literally, as he moved to another country to escape it.

Baekhyun is stubborn, so if it is important enough to him, he would go to war for anything. But that does not mean that he is quick to argue over things. He knows when it is appropriate to be so stubborn, but otherwise contains himself, or at least muffles it to near unheard mutters or judging looks.
He will not hesitate, however, to fight for those close to him. If he feels that they are in any sort of danger—emotionally or in a more literal sense—he will do whatever he can to protect or support them.

There is not a moment that goes by when Baekhyun is away from his friends that he does not miss them.

If it’s necessary to name a specific person… Chanyeol. The two have gotten close within the near two years that they have known one another. He has become a necessity in Baekhyun’s life and he is not sure that he would be able to handle not having him as a friend.

He has never done this, therefore an answer can’t be given.

Non-materialistically speaking, he wants to sleep. He really, really wants to sleep.
Materialistically speaking, he has been wanting to buy a hat that he found at a store near his apartment building, but hasn’t taken the time to go out and get it.

The first game of soccer that he played was when he was 15. A few of the younger members of the gang he had been raised by had decided to play it one day, and somehow, despite his lack of experience, Baekhyun was able to win the game for his team.
Though it is a small victory to most if not all, seeing the delighted expressions on his teammates’ faces was one of the best rewards he had gotten. It was the first time that they had praised him.
Oleander: What’s one thing your character should beware of?
As a mun, I really think that he should be more aware of more sexual things. Innuendos, gestures, all of it. He is just too oblivious when it comes to that and I feel as if that could really put him in a dangerous or awkward situation.

He would like to pretend to be more like a native Korean. Despite his appearance that seems to go well with the country, there are times when his accent shows, or his phrases or words are jumbled or misspronounced. He knows the language fluently, but sometimes it is hard for him to speak aloud the things that run through his head. He would like to be able to pretend that those flaws do not exist, and in that way be able to actually convince people that he is not a foreigner.

Umbrella sage: Where does your character consider home?
He would probably say the place that he resides in at the moment, but he is yet to find that one place that makes him feel as if he is truly home. The closest he has gotten would be his closest friend’s house. And there is also a similar feeling of belonging when he is singing on stage.
Acorn: What would your character do if they lived forever?
Baekhyun has already expressed openly to Jongin that living for a very long time was very unidealistic in his mind. He is well aware that, though he would be living for a very long time, he would also be losing too much for it to be worth it. Close friends would grow old and die without him, as time went on he would slowly begin to forget memories that were once so fond to him. He would probably try and take advantage of it at first, using his ample time to travel around the world and learn new things, but he would grow bored of it quickly—or at least, it would seem quick considering how much more time he’s got left. The days would become repetitive, and he would grow to dislike it even more. He would become withdrawed out of fear of making connections with people that would only leave him. Feeling suffocated by just how small the world would seem to him, he would constantly break into spontaneous anxiety and panic attacks. His depression would be inevitable, and be on the verge of insanity. Eventually he would get desperate, and try to find any and all ways to end what he would consider a terrible, terrible curse.

Honestly speaking, it would all depend on what was on Baekhyun’s mind prior to being given the opportunity. He is a person that tends to speak his mind—sometimes without thinking about what he’s going to say beforehand—so anything that needs to be said probably already has been said, unless that person is no longer a part of his life.
Yew: What makes your character sad?
Baekhyun is perhaps too sympathetic. It is quite easy to make him sad despite his upbeat demeanor and positive personality. Something as small as a sad movie can upset him easily. His friends’ misfortune or sadness is also something that can make him sad.

♡ - Be spontaneous. Show up unexpectedly at his apartment and drag him away for the day. Even if he may complain, he won’t stop you, and will be very pleased.
♡ - Patience is key. Do not expect him to fall madly in love with you within a number of weeks. When he falls he will fall hard, but it takes time for those feelings to develop. If you truly want him, you should keep this in mind, and don’t give up.
♡ - Acknowledge his ignorance. Do not feel discouraged if you have feelings for him and he does not catch onto what would normally be clear signs. Teach him, and he will learn, but don’t scare him away by being too forward.

♡ - Do not play “hard to get” with him. He is completely oblivious of this sort of behavior and will only take it as a sign that you are not fond of his presence. If it appears that you are not interested in him, odds are he won’t even try to make you unless he values your company that much.
♡ - Take interest in him and the things that he enjoys doing, and also introduce him to new things that you think he may also like—movies, food, hobbies, anything. He likes to learn and make new memories, and someone who can make a lot of fond memories with him is certainly one to more easily find their way into his heart.
♡ - Affection. Lots and lots of affection. Of course, this is only after he has developed a somewhat close relationship with you, because that sort of behavior from a mere acquaintence will set him off and just make him a nervous wreck.
