lb: what happened in that final part of quali.

ln: i was just slow. i was slow and i've been slow this whole weekend, to be honest. nothing too surprising, honestly. i've just been off it. i don't know. i feel like i've just never driven a f1 car before. so struggling a lot. don't know why. i need to try and find some answers.

lb: what do you think you can do tomorrow? you're always stronger at races.

ln: yeah, i mean, i think we have a great, i mean, the car's amazing. i have nothing to complain about you know, the car, the team are doing an amazing job. oscar's on pole by a good chunk, so no, i'm thankful for the team they're doing an amazing job, just so i'm letting them down.

lb: best luck tomorrow.

Piastri Storms Ahead in Bahrain

Oscar Piastri wins in Bahrain after leading many laps of the race. Making this his second win of the season.

Russel held off Norris by a tight few seconds ensuring his second place finish.

Red Bull struggling with issues to do with pit stops, wasting precious time with faulty exit lights

Ferrari just not quite quick enough to retain that closeness to the front of the pack.

Ollie Bearman making up 10 whole places, finishing tenth after starting last on the grid.

Sainz having to unfortunately retire due to damage sustained to his Williams after contact with Yuki Tsunoda.

Prior to his retirement from the race, we had a thrilling battle between him and Hamilton - the man that replaced him at Ferrari - which ended in Hamilton eventually pushing forward and getting his way.

As predicted, we had a Mercedes podium. Not Kimi, but George successfully securing this for the team.
