I don't really know. On the one hand, it's so great to see a man not be afraid of embracing feminine traits or being emotional.

On the other hand, it would also have been a great representation to see the main lead be a bi man.

Maybe he just doesn't know he's bi yet? Lol.

amy brings up this amazing bi cop organization and jakes like “oh cool! did you tell rosa about it?” and shes like “yes but she turned me down :( so i decided to see if you're interested”

jake is like “well that organization sounds hecka dope, but why would you think i'd be interested?” and amy makes this confused face and goes "because you're... bi"

he gets flustered

Bi!Jake would be so. SO. SO IMPORTANT. We already have a bisexual character who is in a same sex relationship, someone who is unmarried, and who has known they’re bi since they were very young, and that is GREAT. Rosa is so important, and I love her to the moon and back, but you know what else I would like to see? An adult, in a loving marriage - realizing that they are bi, and coming out.

Because being bisexual doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love Amy, or that he is going to be unfaithful to her, or that he would ever want to actually have a relationship with a man (again?), because he loves Amy, he married Amy, and that would not change for a second. But coming out would help him realize who he is, and that is so important.

Bisexuality is not just valid when you’re single. Rosa is bisexual, even if she marries Jocelyn. Stephanie is married to a man, but she is still bisexual. Jake is married to Amy, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be bisexual.

It’s so important.
