pal Where can i read ur analysis of the gerblins-sc/s&s parallels?? that shit sounds super interesting!!
so i was mostly dicking around with @daughterofsarenrae in discord last night akjskjdkj but!!!! here is the bullshit i was spewing
"Here There Be Gerblins" and "Stolen Century" into "Story & Song" have similar energies due to the fact that both arcs are about families being lost and then found again, followed not only through the adventure the characters go on, but also in the adventure that the listeners go on. Coming into "Gerblins," neither character, player, nor listener know that they are returning to family, thus coming back to a home that they have literally forgotten; however, upon coming into "Stolen Century," that family is, once again, found by player, character, and listener. By the start of "Story & Song, Part 1," that similar atmosphere of "lost and found again" comes back into the storyline, except this time with character, player, and listener alike understanding the true momentum of a reunited family. In this essay, I will
STORY & SONG ALSO BRINGS TRES HORNY BOYS' BIGGEST MISTAKE, PHANDALIN, FULL CIRCLE THROUGH TAAKO BRINGING LIFE BACK TO THE PLANES AFTER TRANSMUTING THE CIRCLE OF BLACK GLASS, ONCE PHANDALIN, INTO THE ASTRAL PLANE

hi emily since you seem to have like. an encyclopaedic knowledge of All Things Sheen do you know where i could possibly find the interview of him saying 'i had to ride stephen fry like a wild stallion' or even just gifs of it? asking for a friend thanks xx
OMFG I FOUND IT!!!!!!!
whoever made this is an absolute star - it’s cut between the different interviews where he’s explained it and also the three sex scenes he describes are cut in too. sooo funny
also can i just say this ask was hilarious to me because a couple of months ago i barely knew who michael sheen even was and even now ive still only seen him in 1 film and 1 tv show and yet ive fallen straight into the rabbit hole and have become the go-to-gal for msheen knowledge
hi! i noticed that a few of your pins depict a fox carrying a hen. is there a tale that goes with this image? love ur visuals xx
A fox stealing a hen/rooster is a recurring thing in Russian tales, for example this 1955 cartoon called “Rooster With a Golden Comb”.
@russianfolklore, can you tell us more?
bi-astral replied to your post “Why was that scene with Hamilton beating Illyria necessary? Especially...”
i have a LOT of issues with the last few seasons of angel and the way they treat women and their bodies tbh
oh, definitely. Neither Fred nor Cordy get to die for any other reason than for an ancient being to hijack their bodies. Meanwhile, Doyle got to sacrifice himself, and Wes was killed in battle (possibly also Gunn, though he’s technically still alive at the end of the ep even though Illyria says he’d only last ten minutes). Lorne even gets to walk away from it all. Meanwhile, the girls are killed as a plot device to serve the purposes of the male characters- to unleash Jasmine and do the whole Angel-risking-everything-for-Connor thing, and for Illyria to take hold of Fred’s body so all the men can stand around sulking they didn’t get to save her.
And that’s just the main characters.
You’ve also got Spike and Angel fighting over Buffy in The Girl In Question (and both claiming that they have to ‘save’ her from the Immortal, before discussing that they could lock her up or put a spell on her so she can only be with them), Angel dating Nina but dropping everything to run after Buffy, etc.
raspberry and lemon (for your url), kiwi, cranberry and apricot
heyo friend :)
raspberry: favorite flower
oh man this is a hard question. I really like carnations but also cabbage roses and irises. Hmmm ultimate favorite flower is probably a carnation though.
lemon: do you have any pets? What are their names?
I don’t have any pets and that’s a constant source of sadness for me, although I’ve laid claim to all my friends-who-have-pets’ pets.
But my gf and I have discussed potential cat and dog names and you really can’t top Latke the Cat and Matzah the Dog.
kiwi: what’s something that fascinates you?
SCIENCE. ALLLL of science. I’ve been researching bioluminescence and quantum physics for a few Star Trek fics and I’m in love. I totally would’ve been some sort of scientist or scientific researcher if I could do math lmao. I love learning how and why things work, which is probably why I love grammar. It’s the science of language.
cranberry: what’s your favorite time of day: morning, afternoon, dusk, or night?
Hm tbh my favorite time of day is when I’m asleep but late morning and late afternoon are probably my favorites. 9 to 11 and 13 to 14 are golden hours.
apricot: what do you do when you’re sad?
I do a lot of things when I’m sad, alternating between watching too much television, not sleeping, and eating everything in sight. (I kid, I do this when I’m not sad and just Super Anxious as well.)
But one thing I’ve come to rely on when I’m sad is my letter box. I’ve got a box full of letters from family and friends and I just reread them when I need a pick-me-up or a reminder that I’ve got people who love me even if I feel completely absent from the world at the moment. I highly recommend making a letter box, if you can. It’s saved me from myself more times than I can count.
Thanks for the ask!!
Send me a fruit
i can see i'll be asking you quite a few questions ahah i hope you don't mind... how do you form possessive pronouns? on Galileo Ace, it talks about possession using the suffix -ik, but if I'm saying his/her, how do i replace the noun? can I use the pronoun si and add on -ik? thank you!
I don’t mind in the slightest! Grammar isn’t my strong suit in any language, but I believe I know what you’re asking. If I’m answering the wrong question, by all means let me know. And @tinsnip, if I’ve managed to mess up the grammar of our own damned conlang, come give me a smack. :D;;
So, as an example, let’s take “the woman’s knife.” You’d say this as ra-ruxt Ul-ik (the-woman knife-possesses). If you want to change that to “her knife,” it would be si Ul-ik (she/her knife-possesses). And if you want to say that “it is hers,” it would be si hi-ik (she/her it-possesses).
All clear?
hi david! i am a university student (i’m doing french and russian with a bit of polish on the side) and i’m really interested in conlanging professionally. do you have any tips on how to get going, especially with regard to qualifications that would help me out? thanks!
Do you conlang? If not, conlang. That’s qualification number one. Number two is conlanging well. Conlanging well follows conlanging. I don’t think it’s realistic to expect to have a career creating languages if you’ve never created a language. So start there. Easy to start, though! Just do it! ~:D
