Paul Bettany as Archangel Michael in Legion (2010) [part 2]
dc biblical characters reacting to their hazbin hotel counter parts
add hellava boss too if you'd like, but i don't watch that one.
i just think this is funny and i've been using it a smidge in my dpxdc work. starting with tv show lucifer. which had a extra funny layer, when danny and dani ask why he's not blonde. because dc comic lucifer is blonde.
there is also maziken teasing lucifer after watching hells greatest dad telling him he is a terrible father.
after season two i got the idea of abel seeing his hazbin hotel variant.
mostly him commenting "i don't know how i feel about the dented halo. . . but what i would give to look like that." pats belly. "atleast this part was accurate. they sure did a number on father's personality. he wasn't that sexist. i was supposed to what? i'm not sure i can sing like that but i will try." sings in a deep baritone abels part for the finale song. completely unable to hit all the words. maze off cam "you tried abe."
The Blinding of Samson
Artist: Peter Paul Rubens (Flemish, 1577-1640)
Date: c. 1609-1610
Medium: Oil on panel
Collection: Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid
Description
Rubens depicts an episode from the life of Samson recounted in the Old Testament. According to this account, the Philistines entrusted Delilah with seducing Samson in order to discover the secret of his great strength and thus capture him. After Samson foiled her attempts several times, Delilah, who was paid for her work, succeeded in gaining his confidence and he confided his secret to her. He fell asleep in her lap and she called a man to cut off the seven locks of his hair in which his powers of strength lay. Once deprived of his might, Delilah summoned the Philistines who captured him, put out his eyes and took him to Gaza.
Rubens here chooses the most dramatic and violent moment of the story, when the Philistines, represented by four figures, hurl themselves on Samson to take him prisoner. The artist constructs a compact group in which Samson stands out through his central location and his contorted pose, defending himself and trying to escape from his captors. One of the Philistines holds a lance to his chest, while another has a flaming torch which provides the only touch of scarlet in the painting, and another brandishes a dagger above his eyes in a threatening gesture. Delilah is to be seen on the left, her naked body partly covered by red draperies, in an exaggeratedly foreshortened pose and accompanied by an old woman who is probably her servant.

Day 9 of 31 Days of Christianity!
9. Who is your favorite Biblical character? If it's Jesus, who's your second favorite?
So Jesus is in fact my favorite 🩷 But I do have two people who are tied for second!
Firstly, John the Baptist! I love this guy, and I always wonder what childhood experiences he and Jesus shared. Mary, Jesus's mother, and Elizabeth, John's mother, were cousins, making Jesus and John also cousins, albeit a bit farther down the line. Did they get to visit each other every once in a while while growing up? If they did, they run around and play together, maybe even cause a tiny bit of harmless mischief for their parents? Did they add in little notes of their own to each other if Mary and Elizabeth sent each other letters? I love how John spent his ministry preparing others for Jesus's ministry. It feels very beautiful and poetic to me.
I also absolutely love Mary Magdalene! She was, in my understanding, one of Jesus's closest friends. I think it's amazing she was the first one to witness his resurrection. She supported Jesus and His teachings, helped him financially, and stood by Jesus and the other disciples no matter what was happening. She became not just a follower, but a leader. I think she's amazing 🩷
(If Dice was an angel au) Is the Devil ok, how is he dealing with Dice death and is he out of his prayer fit. (Sorry for 2 much questions)
Part 1 (It reached limit of images, second part on a reblog)
"How long until we get there?"
"Uughh! It'll take a while, ok? Just keep going and lower your voice"
"You better not be-..."
"...tricking me..."
"Lord, is this your message to me?"
"... Why did you wait this long to talk me?! After all I prayed and hoped?!?!"
"Ugh-! J-just walk and have your delusions without screaming!"
