bryan's always held a special place in my heart. i wrote essays about him because he's my hero, my common app essay was about him and hockey. he was immediately my favorite player in 2012-2013, he's the one who kept me interested in hockey. his posters are all over my wall and door. he's been my favorite player as he fought through injury and through and unnamed illness that was revealed to be MS. sometimes i felt like i was the only one defending him when the rest of the world was crucifying him. it's hard to see your favorite player go, and even harder when you only got to see him play maybe six minutes of ice time when you finally went to a game. i wish him all the best because he deserves it. words aren't enough. thank you.
