hey! so i was wondering, i live in an apartment. currently im in a different town and macerating a hedgehog skull, but i wont be able to do the same when i get back home- i have heard that placing the bones inside soil (in plant pots) reduces the smell heavily and functions pretty well. i dont mind if it takes longer, does that work? or are there any better ways of doing that?

Sorry for the delay in response! You can bury skulls to clean them, for sure! Here’s a video on how you’d do it, though its pretty self explanatory. If you’re burying it in a container, there’s a few steps in this video you won’t have to do, but it’s a good watch and it covers how to deal with staining as well.
