The result of the US Presidential Election 2020 was revealed after long hours of waiting. Biden has emerged a winner, an elected 46th President of US, and Trump has become a sore looser, who offered no congratulatory notes to the new president, and one who refused to hand over graciously too. Com’on, just let it go!!

Not me listening to Hamilton and crying because of the general sentiment of change that might actually be able to happen, maybe.

Around this time last year I watched the musical live and I felt the most inspired by the first songs, where the characters are at a phase where they're trying to get to a place where the world can become better. And now I'm listening to Yorktown, and the line 'black and white soldiers wonder if this really means freedom/ not yet' kind of do be resonating. Because we aren't automatically in a good place right now but fuck am I glad we might be able to travel towards one.

And I know that the election is so much more than is able to be conveyed by a musical about horrible historical men, but art can sometimes mirror life and stuff. Maybe.

Biden actually won, he did it. Trump will be a 1 term president. We’ve been praying and waiting and it finally happened.

Biden is far from perfect but we have done it. We got rid of Trump. 

We also have the first female vice president. What a milestone.
